The Royal Entourage

Months had passed since the Queens death, color seemed to come back to the kingdom slowly. In the last few months Thomas, Logan, Patton, and Roman had all started to get close to one another, helping one another through many time, some good such as Thomas's Fourteenth Birthday, to some bad such as the death of the royal advisor Ethan, Logan's Grandfather. Regardless of what was happening the four of them didn't think things could every change between them all...well there was one thing. On a cloudy day in the kingdom, Sir Alex had asked Roman to go to the village to retrieve some items as quested by the king. Roman headed to the village and started to gather everything. Once he as done he started to bead back when he heard something...unsettling. He looked around to see in a dark alley way, three huge men, were beating up someone who looked to be the same age as Roman. Roman jumped of his horse and listened in to what these men and their victim were saying.

"P-please...stop." The young teen said. One of them replied by immediately punching him in the face.

"Shut it you Witch." The man said. Roman understood now. They were apart of the group of people who despised magic and their victim is someone with magic abilities.

"You know what we should do with him boys?" Another one said.

"Drown him?"

"Hang him?"

"No, burn the Witch. After all, all witches must burn in the fires of hell, and there's no way anyone would even care if he's gone." He said. The mysterious teen started to struggle to get away only to result in the two other men to hold his arms behind his back. The guy who Roman assumed to be the leader of these awful people, got a flint and wood ready. "Let's not waste any time." Roman had enough, he didn't even know why he waited.

"Halt!" Roman yelled to them, his sword ready to draw. The three men looked at him, the Teen keeping his head down.

"Go away kid. This doesn't concern you." The leader said brushing him off

"As a knight to the king it is my concern. The law states anyone with magic will be treated with respect not death!"

"He's an abomination of nature is what this thing is" one of them said towards their victim.

"He deserves death, and anyone who thinks he should live deserves the same fate!" The other one said. They looked to the leader and he nodded his head, then one of the men holding the teen let go, and got a sword out, while the other took the teen. The man charged at Roman with the intent to shed blood. Roman did not hesitate, they immediately got to fighting, the man while had experience with the sword, Roman was better, his training was intense and he was a fast learner. Roman could see the leader of the two however walking towards the teen, holding a knife in his hand. Roman had to act fast if he wanted to prevent this from happening, he lunged at the man, to make him lose balance so he could take his sword. He shoved the man to the ground, and ran after the other two. The leader turned around and started to fight Roman, while the other holding the teen started to beat him again, it was a clear losing situation but he wasn't going to just let this kid be ok. Soon the leader started to realize if they keep fighting and all lose, they will all go to the dungeon. He decided the attention of this Knight had to go somewhere else, to a cry of distress from a poor pathetic kid perhaps. The man broke away from the tussle and charged at the teen, Roman following after him, then suddenly the man stabbed the teen in the stomach, causing him to yell in pain. Roman immediately went to the teen while the three men ran off. Roman finally got a good look at their "Witch" he was defiantly the same age as himself and the prince, his eyes were shadowy but that could have been the bruises those men left, he was breathing heavily. Roman knew there was no doctor in town that could help someone in this condition so he had to do something. He lead the teen to his horse, he was going to get help, and at the castle was where he will get it. He got the teen on the horse and rode off as fast as he could hoping he wouldn't be to late to help save him. After a short while he gets the the castle, he immediately starts to shout for help, causing a few people around to draw near. The Prince, Logan, and Patton ran over to see Roman helping a someone off his horse and could see what happen. The ran over quickly to lead the teen inside to the castle doctor. Roman waited outside the room they set up to help the teen in while the Prince and Sir Alex asked him questions, Patton and Logan stayed by the prince.
