*Three days later*

Holden~~

I woke up to a constant coughing noise and looked around the hospital room, my eyes stopped on Kaden. he stopped and slowly looked over at me, we kept the awkward eye contact until he started the coughing fit again.

"Do you need water?" I asked and he shook his head before coughing more, "Kade are you okay?" i got up and stroked his hair back, he nodded quickly and started the coughing again.

I sighed and walked to the bathroom sink, filled the little cups for mouthwash with water, and walked over to the bed again "Drink." he looked at me through his eyelashes then looked at the cup, he was so innocent looking. he gave a small shake of his head and I rolled my eyes "I will shove this down your throat! drink it!"

he slowly took the water and took a small sip, as soon as he swallowed he spit it back out in the trash. I looked at him weird and he shrugged "I haven't been able to keep food down." his voice was very quiet and horse.

"The doctor said that will happen for at least two days." he said while sitting crisscross, "Why are you so quiet?" I said letting a small laugh out, "Don't mock me!" his voice cracked when he spoke louder and I smiled "It's cute."

his pale cheeks turned a pink color, "Shut up, I'm still mad at you." his voice was cracking a lot more and i couldn't help but smile. "You find that funny?" he asked and I shook my head "You're voice is cracking a lot, that's why I'm smiling."

"Well I'm sorry my voice box hasn't been used in three full days!" he said, my smile dropped and I sat on the end on the bed, "Why did you do it?" Kaden sat in silence, turning his arm over to show the dark scarlet marks.

he put his face in his right hand and made small noises, I scooted closer to him and slowly wrapped my arms around him. after awhile, he threw his arms around my torso and cried on my chest.

"Shh - Shh, it's okay. You don't have to tell me, it's okay." I said while stroking his hair, I rubbed my thumb on his back and kissed his head. he stopped crying after awhile and fell asleep in my chest, I laid him down on the bed and laid on the covers next to him. I pulled him towards my chest again and held onto him tightly, I laid my head on his and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Kaden~

"Kaden? Get up, sweetie." a soft voice said and I groaned before rolling over, "Come on, you need your medicine to go home." I lazily opened my eyes to see a nurse with bright red hair.

"Where's Michael and Holden?" my voice cracked a lot but she understood, "They are in the waiting room." she handed me two small white pills and a cup of water.

I swallowed the pills and slowly got off the bed, there was a sharp pain in my head and I grabbed onto the small table tightly. The nurse looked at me weird and I gave a small smile before grabbing my bag and clothes.

I put my jeans on and pulled the hospital dress off, "Will you be okay in here by yourself?" the nurse asked and I shrugged "Can you send in Michael?" she nodded and walked out the room.

I trugged on my black and grey sweater and slipped on my vans. "Hey, bud. What's up?" Michael asked and I shrugged "Head hurts a little bit." I rubbed my forehead and grabbed my bag.

I looked at him and sighed softly, he nodded and opened the door "Pst." he made a motion and left the door slightly open. Holden walked in a gave me a small smile "You're carrying me." I said softly and held out my arms, he gave a small chuckle and picked me up bridal style.

I wrapped my arms around his torso and snuggled into his chest. my eyes felt heavier while we walked out the hospital and got into Holden's car. he kept holding me and pet my hair until I fell asleep.
