Shots ring out
A girl collapses
The crowd surges
And attackers run
This is our right
War breeds casualties
But she was innocent
Just standing by
Two bullets killed her
And I watched her die
You who protect us
Why do you fail us so?
Give us what we need
Make things right
So she didn't die in vain.
Loosen your hold on us
Leave us be
Dear Government
