Chapter 27

SKYLARS POV

"Hey can one of you fatties get off your asses and bring me to my ultrasound." I say walking into the living room where the boys have been watching movies all day. "Please" I quickly add.

"I can." Niall says to me.

"Thanks Niall."

"You're welcome, I just have to grab my keys so just give me a second." Niall runs into the kitchen to grab his keys.

"Okay let's go." He says leading me to his car.

"So how long are these things usually?" Niall asks me.

"Well it's basically just a check up on the baby so not that long about half an hour, forty five minutes at the most." I reply while shrugging my shoulders.

We pull into the clinic and we head into the waiting room. I don't wait for that long because I have an appointment and there is hardly anyone here.

"Skylar Meadows?" a muse calls out while walking into the waiting room.

Niall and I get up and are directed to the doctors office.

"Dr. Paisley while be right with. " The nurse informs me before walking out of the room.

"Hello Skylar how are you?" Dr. Paisley asks me as she walks into the room.

"I'm good thank you, and you?" I smile at her.

"Busy" she replies while chuckling to herself.

I laugh and hop onto the medical bed. She pulls my shirt up a little ways and rubs the cold cream on my stomach.

"We'll it looks and sounds like your baby is doing wonderful." She says smiling.

I smile back at her and notice a black bump above my baby.

"What's that?" I ask her pointing to the the bump.

She looks at it and gasps.

"Your eight months and we just see this!" She says sounding quite shocked. "Skylar, hunny, I think you might be having twins."

Niall takes this moment to lol up from his phone. He gives me a weird look.

"Twins?" I say my breath catching in my throat.

"I'm sorry hunny, congratulations though. And don't worry, I'm sure their dad and your friends will help you out." She gives me a reassuring smile before exiting the room.

I hop off the bed upset. I look over at Niall who is still giving me a curious look.

We back to his car in silence. Once in his car I begin to cry.

"Skylar don't worry, all of us will help you. " He puts his hand on my shoulder as if to say "it's going to be okay."

"Thanks Niall but that's not what I'm upset about. "

"Then what's wrong?" he asks, confusion clear in his voice.

"Harry's going to be so mad. " I sniffle.

"Why would he be mad." Niall asks still confused.

"Because he will probably think that I knew the whole time and just kept it from him. " I say knowing that's probably what will happen.

"Skye, I know that you've known him longer but, I know Harry and knowing that you have twins will probably make him upset at the beginning, but in the end he will be a super happy father and will work super hard. I also know ghat Harry will love those babies just like he loves y--" Niall says but decides to change his wording. "Like I love food"
