****Liam’s POV****

Gabby wouldn’t look at me. I took a deep breath and sighed. It was horrible what we’d done to her. She didn’t deserve any of the shit she’d gone through this far.

“Do you want to be with me still?” I asked hesitantly, knowing it was a risky question. She finally met my eyes, but only for a moment.

“I don’t know what the hell I want anymore Liam,” she groaned leaning against Niall even more. He wrapped his arm around her as he rubbed her arm.

“So, you still do want to be with Harry?” I asked trying to piece everything together. I heard her start to cry softly again and I sighed to myself.

“I love you both, it isn’t fair that you’d both break my heart, then both want to take me back! That’s the stupidest thing anyone has ever done! Why the hell would either of you break up with me in the first place!” she shrieked as her voice rang out through the room. Her cry broke my heart.

“I'm going to tell you something that Harry should’ve told you a long time ago Gabs,” I started as I inhaled.

“So, management told Harry he had to chose between his job and me…he chose the job because he didn’t want to break up the band, but he couldn’t tell me about management because he’d get kicked out?” Gabby questioned with wide eyes.

“Yes. Harry loved you, and he still does. He never wanted to break up with you, but he had too. Management told me I had to do the same thing, so I told Harry I figured out why he broke up with you. He told me to choose you, but then I found out he was quitting the band so you would be happy with me. I couldn’t let him do that, so I went and told management I’d break up with you, only if they let Harry date you. The other boys and I agreed that we’d quit if they didn’t let him have you,” I whispered as my fists clenched together. I looked at Gabby and she had tears in her eyes.

“You guys both love me that much?” she questioned as a tear fell from her eye. I sighed with a nod.

“But don’t you want to be with me Liam?” she asked and I let out a sad laugh.

“Of course Gabby, but it wasn’t fair that I took something that Harry still loved so much,” I replied wiping her eye. She looked away and sighed.

“Where is Harry?” she asked looking up at Niall.

“He’s in his room packing,” Louis spoke as my stomach dropped.

“Why? He can't quit,” Gabby spat and I nodded.

“You know he’s only going to listen to her,” Zayn whispered looking over at me. I looked at Gabby and she sighed.

“But I still don’t know what I want,” she whispered with confused eyes. I shrugged as Niall helped her up.

“It doesn’t matter, just stop him from leaving,” I replied quickly as I heard a door shut in the hallway. Gabby jumped up and hobbled to the door. She opened it, and I caught a glimpse of Harry’s curls.

“Harry,” she breathed before shutting the door behind her. I slumped back in the chair and Zayn patted my shoulder.

“Am I doing the right thing?” I asked running my hand quickly through my hair.

“Yes,” Zayn replied as he sat with Niall on the couch.

“I just feel horrible. I healed her heart, then I went and broke it. I shouldn’t have ever asked her out in the first place. I knew it was wrong the second the words spilled from my mouth, but I love her,” I breathed softly.

“It’s okay Liam, you just gotta let her choose who she wants, and you guys have just got to learn to accept whoever it is she chooses is the one she really loves. Whoever she chooses is going to have to earn her trust back, and I can tell that it won’t be easy with Gabby,” Zayn spoke wagging a finger at me. He was right. I nodded with a sigh. This was a mess. A complete mess.
