"I like this place. There are no men here to start wars." Amaya said, amazed by the nature of Themyscira. "That's why I perfer girls." I said. We had a long walk ahead of us. "Amaya, you've been on the ship for 2 years, and I don't know you very well." "That's true. So, what do you want to know?" "I'm not sure. We never get a chance to just talk." I said.
We spent the majority of the trip just talking. And not about time travel. Amaya told me more about 1942 than I had ever learned in school. "You know, if you didn't have a mystical totem giving you superpowers, you could be an excellent history professor." I told her. "Maybe. But if I were a professor, my life wouldn't be nearly as exciting." We both started laughing. It was the first good laugh any of us had had in a long time.
We arrived at the village, only to find a bunch of women with their bows drawn, aimed directly at us.
