Over and over, my hand begins to cramp. No, I tell myself, I deserve this. I was late to class and now I'm in detention. I knew that this would happen, but I went on anyway. But it was just one time. This doesn't change anything. It was just one stupid mistake. I won't let it ruin my plans.
This is the first time I've ever had detention in my life, I would like it to be my last. I'm gonna write my lines, do my time and be done with it. At least Mrs Miller didn't find out the real reason I wasn't in class, if she had, detention would have been the least of my worries.
