Arthur has been born to a small family in Gilneas. He had an elder sister, Maria, who had raised him for the most part. Their parents were often busy with containing the Worgen curse, as they were citizens who wanted back their freedom.

Maria and Arthur spent much time inside reading books together. They were the older stories about the heroes outside of the gate that locked Gilneas away. The frayed and torn books had been their favorites of course. Some told stories of the orcs from the foreign world or about the heroic Alliance that fought the scourge. The stories had inspired them to learn the way of the warrior.

As time went on Arthur learned more. His sister, Maria, had found a husband. That left Arthur on his own often. The loneliness wasn't welcome at all, but he continued on. Maria would make dinner when she visited, a new part of her broken and bruised each time. Arthur would ask only to receive no answer. He never gave up.

Soon enough at age fifteen he got married off to Erin, a girl who was known for her singing in their little town. The newlyweds did enjoy each others company the first few years. They had agreed to wait on having children, for it would only slow Arthur down. Once Arthur decided to take a break from the front lines, he and Erin began to focus on their next big step.

They had a beautiful baby boy which they named Matthew. With young parents who were only twenty, he was quite a lot of work. Arthur rarely went to work in order to assist Erin. His parents frowned upon it, but let it happen. Matthew was Arthur's pride and joy. The son that he had always wanted was finally a part of his life.

Watching Matthew grow to age three had been great fun for Arthur. By then things were looking rough on the front lines and they needed more men. With the written order to return, Arthur had no choice but to return. Arthur left for what he thought would be a week. Little did he know it would be the last time.

While retrieving supplies one night he was attacked by a wild Worgen. The bite had sealed his fate. Arthur left the camp and his in the forest. The bite hurt and the curse took its time. The restraint it took to not see his family was incredible. If he were to transform while there he would kill them or be killed.

Finally the curse took over and Arthur had become the monster he had fought for years. He roamed the forests of Gilneas in a pack. Those days were all a blur.

That was until the day he made it out of the gates and into scourge territory. Cornered and alone, he was claimed as another soul for the Lich King. Destined to become a monster. A Death Knight.
