I was doodling instead of paying attention to Mr. Andrews' lecture because I strongly felt that I'd never personally use some complicated formula ever again. Not to say that I didn't care about my education, however, in this exact moment, all I felt like doing was expressing my opinion on how Pluto is a planet by including it in my tiny, drawn universe. It was normal for kids to pass notes in this class because Mr. Andrews never actually faced the classroom during a lecture. Normally, kids would just text each other when they felt like talking, but Mr. Andrews would confiscate anything that beeped or flashed within a mile radius. What I didn't expect was for one of those notes to end up on my desk. Thinking it was a mistake, I tried handing it back to the kid who set it on my desk. He handed it back and gestured towards a girl two seats behind him and then looked back at me. I nodded, taking the note in confusion. I felt like a sixth grader receiving a crucial notice from a pal. I noticed right away that the girl's print was neat and pleasing to look at, unlike mine. It read;
"We used to be friends back in middle school and we haven't had classes since Freshmen year, and it took me a while to recognize you, Levi. You're taller than the last time I saw you and quite frankly, you're really attractive. I'd like to reconnect and get to know you better. If you feel like talking, I'll give you this week to decide. I'll be in the library every day during lunch. Hope to see you soon, - Autumn."
I reread the note a few times to see if I understood exactly what she meant. This was pretty straightforward. It seems Autumn knows what she wants... but what did she want with me particularly? I looked back at the red-haired girl to make sure it was really me the note was intended for, even though I was obviously the only Levi in this class. She smiled sweetly, confirming what I was still processing. As soon as I starting panicking inside a little, I knew I needed to talk to Fynn about this. Apparently, I had the week to decide if I wanted to see her or not, so I had time to think about this. This is for sure the most eventful Monday I've had this year.
