Chris' POV:
After we ate, Ryan Ashley and Ange left Ricky and I in the diner together. I was relieved to have him with me, without interruptions. Ricky looked up at me shyly, playing with the sleeve of the hoodie he was wearing. My hoodie. His eyes went right back to his sleeves after I caught him staring.
"You're being awfully shy again." I pointed out. He took his hand, rubbing the top of it with my thumb. "Is everything okay?"
He blushed and nodded. "Y-Yeah. Just thinking..."
"About?" I questioned.
"Last night. Us." He replied. "I had a lot of fun, Chris. Like... A lot.. I know we didn't do much, but I uhm, I guess I just really like being around you. Yknow..." He trailed off, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm probably bombarding you.."
I smiled. "You're not. Not at all." I kissed his knuckles. "I had a lot of fun too. I love being around you."
He chuckled. "I-I'm glad. So... What I'm trying to get to now is..." He let out a shaky breath and his hands trembled slightly. "Agh, I'm really uhm. Nervous. Like, I'm bad at this. I'm sorry. I just haven't been in any type of relationship in years-not that I think we're together! I just-"
"Let's go out on another date." I told him, finishing his stammering statement. "A real one. I'll take you out to eat, maybe back to my place for a movie or something."
Ricky smiled. "Thank you." He leaned over the table and pecked my forehead. "That sounds perfect. I'm free uh... Tonight, tomorrow afternoon..." He shrugged. "Whenever."
It was cute when he got nervous. I could tell he liked me. It's almost like when you're in school, you get nervous around your crush and just can't think straight. I'm glad the feeling between Ricky and I is mutual.
"How about tonight then? We can go grab food from wherever you want. I'll leave work early to make sure the house is ready for you, get some new blankets so we can cuddle up, some snacks..." I smirked slightly. "Just a movie night." I purred, bouncing my brows a bit jokingly.
Ricky blushed and giggled. "You're a dweeb. Just know you won't get your dick wet tonight." He smirked, getting up and heading for the door. "I'll wait for you in the car, hot stuff." He winked, pulling my keys from his pocket.
"Oh fuck you." I laughed. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my wallet, paying for our breakfast and leaving a tip. Ricky was already heading for the car. "Wait for me!" I whined, running out the door after him.

I locked the front door of the shop before getting into my car. I shot a quick text to Ricky, letting him know I was leaving to get everything ready for our movie. Sure, I wanted some action, but it was way too soon. Way. Too. Soon. I was more focused on getting to know Ricky. Trying to get in his heart's pants. Not his... Yet.
On the way home, I stopped at the store. I bought kettle corn and regular popcorn, soda and tea, some ice cream, all types of candy, and even some fruit. I needed that for the house anyway. I grabbed two new blankets, soft and fluffy for us to cuddle under. I ended up back at home thirty minutes later, setting the snacks on the kitchen counter, the fruits, drinks and ice cream in the fridge and freezer. I moved on to clean up the house.
I didn't let my place get super dirty, but things did tend to get... Cluttered. I started in my bedroom, putting all of my dirty clothes into the laundry basket. I made my bed and tossed away trash, which mainly consisted of empty water bottles and empty Starbucks cups. I lit a candle to make sure the room smelled fresh, but not overwhelming. I cleaned up the bathroom and tidied up the living room, setting the new blankets over the back of the couch. It didn't take too awfully long, but it sure as hell was not quick. I lit the same candle in the living room too, then flopped onto the couch.
Ricky sent me a text, a photo of him smiling, biting his lip. "I cant wait for our date! I packed extra clothes for the occasion!"
I smiled and saved the photo. I'm not a creep. I just have a crush on a cute boy. Sue me. "You're too cute. I'll be at the shop in a few hours to pick you up, okay? I was thinking vegan food for dinner?"
Ricky didn't reply for a bit. When he did, he confirmed that vegan food was okay, with lots of happy emojis and green hearts. He's too cute. He makes my heart swell to a million times its size. Let's hope this all works out.
