Ricky's POV:

The date was amazing. The food was delicious, and we even shared some vegan ice cream together. It was a nice change from just going to the diner and grabbing burgers. We had tofu salad, and vegan chicken parm together. I almost wanted seconds, but I wasn't the one paying. I didn't want to cost Chris any more money than I already had.

He set his hand on my thigh as we drove back to his place, his hands warm and comforting. I set mine on top of his and looked over at him. "You look really nice, Babe." I whispered. I didn't even mean for "babe" to slip out, but it just did.

His makeup was done well, a full face. He did light contouring and a dark smokey eye, complimented with a black lipstick. "Thank you, Sweet Pea. You look beautiful as always."

"I feel bad," I laughed shyly. "You got all dolled up. I just put on a button down..." My cheeks heated up.

He shrugged. "Doesn't matter. I think you're great looking either way." He replied as he turned the corner.

"You're too sweet. What movies are you thinking of watching?" I asked him curiously.

"I really wanna watch The Crow again." Chris squeezed my thigh. "I have a huge crush on Eric Draven." He chuckled.

"I don't blame you." I giggled and leaned against his arm. "He's super hot... But not as hot as you,"

Chris scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Whatever. You're just lying now." He pulled into his driveway and shut off the car, looking at me. "Just to double check, you're okay with this?"

I nodded and leaned in, pecking his cheek. "I wouldn't have said yes if I wasn't."

He nodded and opened his door, closing it behind him and jogging over. He opened my door and helped me out before walking me to his front door and unlocking it.

We both went and sat on the couch, kicking our shoes off. I grabbed the blanket and curled up in it, Chris laying down. I was too shy to make a move, so I stayed at the end of the couch by his feet as he searched for the movie.

"If you want anything to snack on, help yourself." Chris smiled. "Don't be shy, Hun." He sat up a bit and motioned me over. "Are you cold?"

I carefully crawled over and snuggled into his chest. He was so warm and inviting. I shook my head and laid down with him, letting his arms wrap around me just as the movie started. "Well not anymore.." I whispered, glancing up at him.

He kissed my forehead. "Good. I can't let my baby freeze." He turned his attention to the television again, and I did the same.

Laying there, cuddling with Chris, really made me feel loved. Not the love from a family member or close friend. The kind where you know that person just wants to hold you tight. Where you don't want to leave, and you could just sink into them. The kind of love where you'd do anything just to make that person smile. Chris made me feel loved. I haven't been treated this way in what felt like decades. I hadn't been treated this way in so long that I nearly forgot what it felt like. It felt incredible.

I yawned quietly and pulled the blanket up to my chin, shifting slightly to get comfy again. I hadn't realized how tired I was. My eyes started to slip shut, and it was becoming more and more difficult to get them to open again. The gentle rubbing on my back wasn't helping either. My eyes shut one last time before it all went away, and I drifted off to sleep.

I was woken up to the song 'Johanna' from Sweeney Todd. Chris must've put it on. I opened my eyes and looked up, seeing Chris asleep. I giggled softly, leaning up to kiss his cheek. However, Chris wasn't sleeping.

He moved his head and our lips accidentally pressed together. He pulled away instantly, his cheeks pink. "I'm sorry!"

"I'm sorry!" I whimpered, sitting up. "I-I didn't mean to, you just moved! And-and-and..." I almost wanted to cry.

"Relax," he soothed, holding my cheeks. "It was my bad. Not yours." He gave me his trademark comforting smile and kissed my nose. "It's all okay."

I nodded, melting into his touch. "Okay, Chris." I whispered. I couldn't help but smile back. I leaned in and shut my eyes, feeling Chris shift. Before I knew it, our lips were together again. They melded together so wonderfully and so perfectly. I felt butterflies-no-bees in my stomach. I wanted to squeal with excitement as we pulled away.

Our expressions mirrored each other: a goofy smile and blushed cheeks. Chris tucked a bit of hair behind my ear. "You have no idea how patiently I've been waiting for that." He teased.

I playfully nudged his chest. "Oh shush. You could've made a move too, big guy." I sassed, laying my head on his chest again. I nuzzled him lightly.

"Whatever. I got my kiss and I'm happy." He hugged me gently. Our focus went to the movie, Chris quietly singing along. He even whispered the lines under his breath. I found it adorable, how well he knew the movie.

"Was it quick, sir? Did it in a tick, sir..." He sang, smiling.

I leaned up and pecked his cheek, hugging him tight. I had a feeling that we would work out great together.
