~Daichi's POV~

With practice under way I watched diligently over my teammates. They've been working rather hard and I was honestly very proud of how far the boys were coming. At the very start of the year the first years were practically ripping one another's throats out, and of course we finally had Asahi back on the court with us. A sudden weight on my shoulder broke my thoughts.

"Daichi, are you planning to warm up with me or not." Sugawara's bright smile caused my heart to skip a beat. This boy was a literal angel, he was practically glowing. With a teasing laugh Suga led me off to the court where we aided in one another stretches.

Asahi was sprawled on his back with Noya perched on top of him stretching out taller boy's legs, which clearly was causing a bit of pain for the poor guy. While Asahi was trying to convince Noya to have mercy and stop with the ruthless stretching. Hinata, Kageyama, and Tanaka were in the center of the court playing a mini match against Ennoshita, Narita, and Kinoshita. The second-year team was calm and collected while the first-year (and Tanaka) team was incredibly rowdy and screaming at one another, no surprises there. Yamaguchi was stretching near the door while Tsukishima scowled at the other first years nearby, seemingly not doing anything productive.

Yachi and Kiyoko were also near the door with Coach Ukai and Takeda, the girls were holding wads of towels and a handful of jerseys, probably in the process of washing them, and the adults had their usual clip boards. Takeda was incredibly animated while he spoke. I couldn't help but notice the smirk Coach had plastered on his face.

Suga babbled on about the team and how incredible the first-year boys are as we helped one another stretch out. It wasn't long before Ukai gave me a curt nod signaling to get the ball rolling on real practice. Pulling myself to my feet and dusting off my shorts I called the boys over to set up the drills for practice. There was a collective groan when I explained that we'd be doing receiving and diving drill for the bulk of practice, but with the first match of the Miyagi Prefecture Representative coming up we needed to improve our weakest skills sets.

~Sugawara's POV~

Practice was intense and rowdy as ever. Tsukishima of course provoked Kageyama and Hinata for a majority of the time and Tanaka threatened literally everyone, but this is how I liked it. Everyone was their usual selves and in high spirts. It was nice, I couldn't ask for a better team to close out my volleyball career with honestly, even if I'm not the official setter anymore, I'm proud of my team.

With the final round of diving drills completed everyone filed into the locker room to change out of their gym clothes. There were 5 alphas on the team and after so much hard work the locker room was almost unbearable for us omegas, the air was thick with musky smells that mingled amongst one another. I'd become accustomed to it, but it was clear that the first-year boys were still struggling a bit. Hinata changed at lighting speed before bolting from the room, with Kageyama not far behind yelling at him. While I wasn't certain, I had a feeling that Yamaguchi was also an omega, based on how he seemed to shrink into himself the second he walked into the locker room, submitting to the intense alpha aroma. He was likely using suppressants to hide his own omega sent, but I couldn't piece together a reason for doing so.

My eyes wondered to Daichi as he tugged off his sweaty t-shirt, his body was toned, and I couldn't help but explore the curves of his muscles with my eyes. He seemed to have caught me because he winked at me before a clean shirt obscured my view. Shooting him a small pout I tugged on my jeans before exiting the locker room, knowing Daichi wasn't far behind.

~Daichi's POV~

Suga was a few steps ahead of me excitedly explaining some new café that recently opening, I couldn't help but let my eyes drift over his body. With practice completed and behind us he was now clad in tight skinny jeans that hugged his subtle curves and a skimpy white tank top with a loose cream-colored cardigan overtop. It was certainly a more feminine outfit, but it was perfect for Sugawara. He always took my breathe away. His grey hair shimmered in the sunlight, almost like a halo.

"What are you smirking about?" His angelic voice carried a teasing tone, a little smile plastered on his pretty face. How did I get so lucky?

"I love you, Suga." His eyes widened slightly before his smile brightened.

"I love you, too, Daichi!" Suddenly he flung his arms around my neck and nuzzled my cheek lovingly. My heart fluttered as I returned his embrace. Placing a gentle kiss on the beauty mark below his eye I released my boyfriend before slipping my palm into his, our fingers quickly intertwining.

Suga's bubbly ramblings picked back up as we made our way to the café he'd been excited about. We were together every day because of volleyball, but it was nice to go out like this every now and then. The team isn't aware of our relationship, not that we've been hiding it, it just hasn't come up yet. I knew the lighter haired boy wasn't shy about our relationship and would probably be excited to formally tell his team mates, hell, he was practically their mother the way he dotes on them.

~Sugawara's POV~

Daichi treated me to sweets at this new café I'd been talking about all week, it was rare that we had time to go out between volleyball and college prep school. I loved spending time with Daichi, I don't think it's possible to love someone more than I love him. We talked for a while over our meal before paying the bill and heading towards home.

"Hey, Suga?"

"Hmm?" I tilted my head towards my endearing boyfriend and shot him a quizzical look. His large, calloused hand ruffled his short dark hair, a nervous habit he had that I found adorable.

"Would you want to, um, stay at my place tonight?" His words were jumbled together as he spoke quickly. Letting a giggle escape my lips, I nudged Daichi with my shoulder.

"I'd be honored." His dark cheeks were tainted with a gentle blush, it wasn't easy to embarrass Daichi, so I indulged in the sight of him acting this way. Wrapping my arm around his sculpted waist we began to make our way to Daichi's apartment.

~Third Person POV~

The captain and vice-captain of the Karasuno volleyball team spent the remainder of the day sitting on the floor of Daichi's apartment talking and doing homework together. While it seemed like nothing out of the ordinary, it was the first time the couple would be staying together for the night alone.

"Daichi, do you know where you want to go to college?" There was a slight wobble in the grey-haired boy's voice. Anytime their impending graduation was brought up he could feel his chest tighten and heart squeeze uncomfortably. The last thing he wanted was to be separated from his boyfriend, the boy he's unexpectedly fallen completely in love with.

"I haven't given it much thought to be completely honest, maybe somewhere local. I couldn't really imagine going somewhere far away from home." The captain's voice was smooth, unwavering, as he tapped his pen thoughtfully on his lower lip considering the question thoughtfully. "How about you, Suga?" The vice captain was taken back by the question being flipped back to him. He was uncertain with what he wanted, other than being with Daichi.

"I want to be by your side." The smaller boy's voice was practically a whisper, he didn't intend to say what he was thinking out loud, but the words slipped out before he could stop them. His milky white skin flushed into a vibrant red color when the realization hit. Quickly covering his face with his hands Sugawara couldn't see the blush that overcame Daichi. I want to be by your side.
