After a long and exhausting night of heat, passion and love Irene woke up with a smile on her face. She reached out her hand for Sherlock but the pillow next to her was cold. She immediately sat up and frowned. "Sherlock?" He didn't answer. She heard a sound from the kitchen and smiled widely when Sherlock entered the bedroom, carrying a tray with fresh orange juice, coffee and some croissants. He placed it on his side of the bed and sat beside Irene, kissing her nose. "Good morning, beautiful."

Irene giggled softly and stroked his cheek. He smiled and pulled her on his lap. "I made breakfast. Bon appétit." Irene grabbed a croissant and started eating. "Hmm." She hummed in content. "What are we going to do today?" Sherlock shrugged. "Whatever you want."

"I'd like to go to the zoo." Sherlock nodded and kissed her cheek. "Let's do that. Brilliant." Irene finished off her breakfast and got off Sherlock's lap, carrying the tray back to the kitchen. When she returned the detective stared at the wall absentmindedly. "Sherlock?", she mumbled softly. He looked up and smiled. She could see it was faked and sat beside him. "What's wrong, dear?" Sherlock shook his head and stroked her cheek. "Nothing. Everything's fine." She glared at him. "Tell me now." He laughed. "Nothing. Irene, I'm alright." She sighed and rested her head on his shoulder. "Hopefully." He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead. "So, are you ready for the zoo?"

She grabbed her bag and her coat and nodded. "Ready when you are."

"I am. Let's go." Sherlock grabbed Irene's hand and headed outside, hailing a cab after Irene had locked the door.
