"Sasumi..chan." Hino saw her crying face.
"Why are you here, Sasumi?!" Naruko asked lifting up her friend.
"Are you crying?" Hino reached out to her only to have his hand slapped away.
"It's none of your business." Sasumi answered both of them shoving Hino out of the way as he called out her name.
The next week was the same treatment.
"She's still giving you the cold shoulder, eh?" Kibi elbowed him.
They were outside of his apartment which had also gave them a front view of Sasumi's porch.
"What did you do to Sasumi-chan?" Saku appeared.
"Saku-kun? What are you doing here?" Hino asked his friend as he only returned a murderous glance.
"I'm visiting, Sasumi-Chan." He sucked his teeth.
"I'll ask you again, what did you do to Sasumi-Chan!" Saku grew angrier as Hino looked down.
She must've heard that conversation.
"She actually agreed to go on a date with me?!" Saku exclaimed.
"That must be nice, I want to go on a date sometime! You know, all the hugs and kisses!" Kibi fan girled.
"Shut up, Kibi. You'll never find love." Shin stated which caused Kibi to go cry in a corner.
Hino, on the other hand looked depressed.
"Don't pay attention to her, Hino." Shin placed a hand on his shoulder as he smiled.
"Ah! I'll be late to my date! If you excuse me."Saku left and walked towards Sasumi's house.
"Shouldn't you be doing something, Hino?" Kibi encouraged him.
"No, she decided to go on a date with him. If that makes her happy, then I won't stop her." He frowned.
"Then why did you tell Naruko that you didn't like her?" Shin asked.
"I don't want to give myself false hope." He whispered as they asked him what he said but he refused to repeat himself.
"I love Sasumi but I can't be with her." He said
"Why?" And with that he brought them inside the house.
"Why are we going inside? Won't your hard-headed dad get mad?" Kibi asked as he kept quiet and opened the door to his room.
"Hino.." They looked around at the machines that surrounded his room.
"And that's just to help me fall asleep." He said and then walked towards his window sill only to see Saku and Sasumi walk out of her house hand in hand.
It hurt him but what can he do about it?
"Oh, Hino." Both of his friends felt their hearts crumble into tiny pieces.
"As long as she's happy, then I'm fine." He faked a smiled as they shook their heads and walked towards him.
They formed what could be their last group hug.
