What if I survived?

As I walked into the school, I looked around. I saw my teachers talking and fellow peers laughing. I started imagining life with friends. I was never allowed to have friends. My mother had always told me that they would make me rebel and not complete my work. How I hated that tough. I thought was strong, but, no one, not even me, can live life without a shoulder to lean on sometimes.

I continued to walk and saw my crush from 6th grade. He looked at me and smiled, while I gave him a death stare. I wasn't allowed to have friends so I definitely wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend. He had asked me to date him a few years ago but I told him that I had to think. When I got home, I told my mother and got a slap across the face. I never knew why my mother didn't want me to have friends but I had to listen; my mother was the one taking care of me and has given birth to me. It would be very rude to disregard her choices.

I had plans to move to Korea and find my father once I graduated from college. I had never met him but knew from my mother on the phone that he was there; since he is Korean. When I reached my classroom I opened the door to see a boy. He was just staring at the wall. I went to tap his shoulder and ask him what he was doing, but before I did he said- "Lucinda, I've been awaiting you". "Excuse me? Who do you think you are? I'm sure it wasn't me your waiting for. There must be a mistake. I don't have any friends." I told him, speaking a mile a minute. He stood up and said, "I see, so your not Lucinda Tamins?" I stuttered " I am, but, what do you want?" Lucinda, it's not what I want, it's who I want." He said playfully. "Who do you want then? If you remember I don't have any friends so I'm not much help." I told him while pulling out my cell in case of if something happened. "You can help with this one. I'm sure of it." He said. "How can you be so sure?" I mentioned. "Because it's Meline Tamins" He then stood up and walked out of the room. Before he left me he said "Call that number if you want to help" I stood there in shock. Why could he possibly need my mother? He looked about two years older than me so I don't think she bugged him. I picked up the number and tried to forget by setting up my presentation.

7 hours later

As I exited the school I could tell it had been raining. I wanted to walk home since it wasn't far and called my driver to tell him. He asked if my mother knew and I said yes because if she did, I wouldn't be allowed to walk. While walking, I thought about what happened this morning. I realize that he wasn't wearing the uniform. Strange, most people aren't allowed at the school without either a uniform or a pass. I tried to forget and feel hands. Before I can scream, they cover my mouth and drug me. I had started kicking and screaming but I quickly fell into a deep trance.
