It's been two months since we returned to school and it's been a totall drag but manageable with Ashton at my side.
Ruby, Angel and Tabitha (yeah Tabitha aswell, her and Michael got serious a while ago and now she's part of our little group) are always at the orphanage hanging around with me and the guy's.
"I'm bored" I groan stuffing my face into one of my many pillows.
Me, Ash and Michael had just got back from school and were hanging out in my room.
"Well then turn on the TV or something" Michael says lazily.
"You do it" I say chucking the penguin I got for my birthday at him.
"Noooo"he moans.
"I'll do it" suggests Ash kissing my head softly.
Aww he's so perfect.
"See Michael how about you try to be more like Ash" I say sticking my tongue out at him.
"Aww so you want a kissy kissy" he mocks jumping up and chasing me around the room making kissing noises.
"Ahh no stop" I giggle and soon we were engaged in a full scale wrestling match.
"G..g..guy's" Ashton stutters.
Me and Michael stop messing and look over at him shocked.
I'd never heard him sound so scared and by Michaels reaction I don't think he has either.
When we turned to look at him his face was white as a sheet and he looks slightly green.
"Ash" I gasp guiding him over to the bed and sitting him down.
Michael came and sat beside him.
"What is it bro?" he asks softly genuinely concerned for his friend.
Ashton just lifts his finger and points it at the TV screen.
Warnings are popping up beneath the pictures of people running around a smoky street ,some military, some civilians and some...Oh Shit
"Wh..h..hat the f..f..uck are t..t..hey" I manage to choke out.
"This...this can't be happening" Michael gasps.
"There infected" Ash says quietly staring down at his hands.
My brain goes haywire for a few minutes as I try to process what's happening. I begin to breath in deeply trying to calm my nerves. Then I remember the other's and my brain begins to function again
"call the others,tell them to come here straight away"I say to Michael he nods and takes out his cell.
"I'm gonna see what Laineys doing"I state "Ash will you be okay here with Michael?"I ask him worridly.
"Yeah yeah I'm fine" he coughs standing up.
I open the door and run down into the hall.
Lainey is standing at the open door crying as the kids file out into two large white vans guarded by military soldiers.
"Lainey!" I exclaim running over to her and pulling her into I tight embrace.
"What's happening" I ask pulling out of the hug and holding her at arm's length.
"There taking the kid's and me to a safe zone" She stutters "They say the kids won't be infected there. "
"Then why are you crying you goose" I laugh rubbing away her tears even though I'm pretty sure i know why.
"b..b..because they refuse to take anyone over 15" she gulps pulling me into another hug.
I hug her back tears streaming down our faces. She had been like a mother to me for the past 10 year's and now she's gone. And it was my turn to be strong.
"Hey we need to go ,hurry" a soldier barks at Lainey.
"I love you Lainey" I whisper "now go".
"But Jamie" she begins sobbing.
"I'll be okay now go ,Go!" I exclaim pushing her out the door and closing it begind me.

"The guy's are on there way now, there almost here" says Michael as I enter the room.
"What happened to Lainey and the kid's" asks Ash.
I explain about the safe zone and the soldiers whilst battling the tears that brim in my eye's.
"Come here" says Ash opening out his arm's.
I'm just about to respond when the doorbell rings three time's before I hear it click open.
"It's just us" says Tabitha's now familiar voice and Michael immediately rushes towards the front door.
Once me and Ash get there everyone has gathered in the lounge room.
"What's it like out there" I ask Ruby, Angel, Tabitha , Luke and Calum.
"It's like something straight out of World War Z" says a shivering Tabitha as Michael wraps his arm around her and pulls her closer.
"There's rotters everywhere' adds Angel.
"Rotters?" Asks Ash.
"Yeah that's what everyone is calling them" answers Luke.
"What do we do now" asks Calum.
"Wait one sec" I say dashing out to the hall and looking behind the reception desk .I hoped to find Laineys van keys but of couse she had left much more.
She had left her van keys , 5 glocks and 4 colts with 3 pouches of amo each and a hurriedly scribbled note saying
Use them wisely

OMG I can't believe Lainey even owned weapons like these. I thought to myself.
"Thank you" I whispered to the air tears streaming down my cheeks.
"Okay guy's" say walking into the lounge and dropping the weapons on the ground. "Lets get the fuck outa here...
