Chapter One

     The pesky alarm sounds. I get up and ready, have breakfast, get to school. Nothing that exiting about an average morning of mine. But when I get to school, that's where the fun begins...

     Alexa is telling me the latest gossip in the hallway, I pretend to care. She goes to the bathroom and I tell her I'll meet her in Spanish class. I keep walking casually when I see this boy. We make very rare eye contact, I try to ignore it...

     UGH! What's happening to me! We just exchanged glances like any other human beings! Why does that moment keep popping up in my head? Get out!...

     But it doesn't, his face was so rear yet so familiar. I start analyzing the moment cautiously. What is my mind trying to tell me? Or is it my heart that's trying to speak to me?
I snap out of the thought when the lunch bell rings. I grab my lunch and seat. I try to eat but am more focused trying to catch a glimpse of the boy. Unsuccessful, I start to pay attention to Alexa and my food. I don't know why but a wave of disappointment rushes trough my body.

     With my head down, I get to chemistry. The teacher, Mr. González, starts with the daily attendance process. There are 23 students in this class, but today the list looks strange. (yes, he writes down the list in his chalkboard every morning) There are twenty four spaces. I get closer to the chalkboard to see if it is true, and it surely is! I read the name "Jacob Smith" and on cue Mr. González says "Jacob Smith, are you present?" A familiar boy gets up an says in the most sexiest voice I've ever heard "Present." An oh my god, he was the boy from earlier! I just put my head down trying to disguises the fact that my cheeks are looking like a ripe tomato. The class goes on, I keep trying to look at him until Mr. González yells "Ok class, we're going to be working in pairs for this project. I will assign said pairs. Alison and Martha, Grace and Keith, Jacob and Leslie..." Instantly I start to sweat, this is going to be an awkward project...
