I stared at my brother, I couldn't tell if he looked pissed or just confused. "Jack Kline wants me to adopt him"I said. He took a deep breath. "Ok. And you want to?"he asked me. I shrugged. "I don't know. This kid deserves a good family. And I know I can't give him that. But I don't know"I said.
"Dean. I don't know what to say. I didn't know you would even think about adopting. Like ever. But yeah I know some stuff. I actually did a case two weeks ago."he smiled. I nodded.
"Ok. I'm going to head home. You think about this more and if you decide to actually do it. Talk to me. And I have to talk to the kid. Alright"he said. I nodded.
"Ok. Also Gabe wants to have a party on Saturday"he waved and left. "Holy shit"I whispered. A couple minutes later there was a knock.
"Yeah"I said. Than Benny walked in. "Hey. What's up?"I asked. "Nothing. My class ended and I don't have kids for another twenty minutes. Thought I should come say hi"he smirked.
"Ok. Hi"I said. "I saw Sam. Why was he here?"he asked. "No reason. Just wanted to say hi."I shrugged. He gave me a look.
"What?"I asked. "You. Adopting. Really?"he asked. "Bitch"i whispered. "Dude. What's going on?"he asked.
"Jack. He thinks I would be a good dad"I said. He laughed. "...."I just stared at him. "I'm not meaning anything bad."he said. "I know. I got no hope in myself anyway"I said. He nodded.
"Well. I better get going. If I stay any longer. I might never want to leave. High school students suck"he waved and walked off.
After a while my next class walked in and I was bored for the rest of the day.
