Elizabeth's POV

I slid out of Bella's bed and tiptoed out of the room. I went to the balcony below to meet Lionel.

His kept staring at her room with a smile plastered on his face. I smiled remembering what I did.

"Is that tears I see oh brave knight?" I teased.

He stiffened and quickly wiped his face with a cloth.

"I was not. It is uncomfortable wearing all of these clothes, I was simply warming up."

"You are on the balcony full of fresh air." I giggled. "You saw us didn't you?"

He nodded. "What did she say? Is she going to accept me from now on? Has anything changed?" He asked desperately.

I felt guilty for causing him to give me that desperate look. I caused that and I am to blame for everything that has happened. My mind retraced back to when Lionel scolded me for hurting Bella.

He studied my face and sulked. "She still rejects me doesn't she?"

"What? No. You were right, she loves you. I saw it myself. And you know something? Even though she forgave me I still cannot forgive myself for what I have done. I really am the worst. I feel like I don't deserve her friendship anymore or her forgiveness." I said gloomily.

"Get yourself together and stop beating yourself up. Maybe I was a bit too rough with you the other day to shatter you this much. Please forgive me, I was angry." He said guiltily.

"No, no. I deserved it. You was only protecting Bella. Can you ever forgive me for hurting you both?"

He smiled. "Of course Elizabeth. I forgive you. And you earned your friendship back for what you did tonight. You did the right thing."

I nodded. "I feel as if a great burden was lifted off of my shoulder. I am glad that I was honest with her"

"And I am glad too, because I was going to have a hard time trying to court her all over again. I was no going to give up on her and sooner or later I would have tried my old plan again-seducing my way into her heart." He laughed.

"You better do that because I want my godchild delivered as soon as possible!" We laughed together.

"Really Elizabeth, I am truly grateful for what you did tonight. You mended her broken heart. You are welcome at our estate at any time Elizabeth. It would be good having you around sometime."

"I will be happy to accept your offer. Make my girl happy. Never hurt her, you hear me?" He comforted me as I teared up and I left him alone to return to our precious friend.

A short chapter this time but it was worth it.
