Chapter 1

"WAKE UP!" I heard as I slowly got up."YOU HAVE TO LEAVE FOR MAGCON IN AN HOUR! THE BUS WILL BE HERE AT 10!" I heard my mom yell. "Ok mom! I'm jumping into the shower!" I yell down the stairs. "Ok!" she said. Once I was finished, I threw on a white croptop that said "beach bum" and some denim high wasted shorts. I straightened my hair and walked into my room. When I was reaching for my makeup bag I saw I got a text from one of my best friends Matt. (M-matt G-gia)

Okay so I admit it I do like Matt, but I know he doesn't like me. I've known all the boys and girls since before I was born because of our moms, but Matt, Carter, Julia, and me, had the tightest bond. The only couples in the group was Nash and Mia, Shawn and Aubrey, and Taylor and Renee. Mia and I were cousins so we obviously were pretty close. Our moms were sisters and both of our parents were divorced so we were always together. Mia and Carter were the only ones who knew about my crush on Matt. I got lost in my thoughts. I then realized I only had 10 minutes before the bus came. I ran into the bathroom to put on my makeup. It was now 9:53. I went downstairs and ate something. As soon as I was done the bus came. I grabbed my luggage and headed out. Matt helped me put my stuff in. I walked and saw my best friends Julia, Carter, Mia, Nash, Cam, Renee, Aubrey, Shawn, Jack J, Jack G, Jasmin, Geanna, Emily, Baylee, Caitlin, Hayes, Taylor, Matt, and Aaron. Yeah, we were a big group. We all had crushes on each other but each of us didn't know who each other liked. I sat down and we were on our way to D.C. I was staring at Matt thinking about how perfect he was. He noticed ," You like what you see." He said and laughed. I playfully hit him on his shoulder and he pretended to cry.

I laughed and put my head on his shoulder. The rest of the boys and girls just sat down and watched TV. Mia fell asleep next to me and soon I did the same. When I woke up Matt had his arm around me and was sleeping. He was so cute. I shook him," Matt wake up we're here." I said yelling in a whisper. He woke up and said," Okay thanks ba- I mean Gia.". He was blushing and looking down. Did Matt just call me babe. Oh my God. Matt just called me babe. I was happy inside. Very happy. Matt asked," Are you ok?" I said," Yeah I'm fine, just thinking.". "About what he said curiously?". "You." I said blushing. "Oh." Matt said smiling uncontrollably. Maybe I was wrong all along. Maybe he does like me. We walked off the bus and into the hotel. Bart told us the room arrangements. I was with Matt. Yesssssss! I said in my head. Matt said smirking," Oh you're that happy you're staying with me?". "I said that out loud didn't I?" I was blushing so much. "Yeah. Don't hide your blush it's cute.". "Thanks." I said making me blush even more. Me and Matt walked to our room and started to unpack
