CHAPTER 4

The night air was quite invigorating as we swiftly passed the trees in the forest on our way heading east.
My mind was clouded as usual but this time with thoughts of uncertainty. I thought my life was all planned out yet everything is crumbling right before my eyes or rather behind me.

Here I am Speeding off in the dead of the night to seek out my father rather the Alpha, we don't acknowledge or male parent. Reason being it's quite awkward.
What do I say?
Hello dad it's me your daughter?
Nah he wasn't allowed to be my father and at the same time I am not allowed to even question our ways.

I was too busy fuming internally that I was oblivious to smell of death fast approaching, it was quite strong insinuating more than one blood sucker was heading our way.

"Mercy how many red necks are heading this way". I inquired slightly worried I could feel my brows furrowing.

"Around 40 vampires, we need to make it to the next pack border". I could sense the nervousness in her voice; but her face remained impassive.

"Hmm... let's keep going". With finality in my word we kept moving foward at a faster pace  than before. The scent was slowly drifting.

Moving as fast as we could through the woods. We realize that we were on a pack territory. Fear spark through me not for myself but for the pack members. They weren't aware of what was coming to them. And we lead them here unknowingly.

"Miss Flanker where are you". I asked though the mind link but I got no respond.

Now I am losing my wits.

"Mercy, Stacey I can't get in contact with miss Flanker. Stacey I need you to go a head see if you can locate this pack's Alpha and alert him of what's happening". I could see the worry flashed her features. But she chose to obey nevertheless.

"Stay safe, you guys".

With that she rode off. Leaving me and Mercy.

My friends knew better than to question my Judgement. I could sense their concerns for me I brushed it aside casually, as I got off my bike and Mercy doing the same.

"Why don't you go ahead and let me stall them?" Mercy asked nervously. That's not something you see very often.

"Would I leave you in danger alone?", I asked quizzically.

"No, but you know they're after you my safety isn't the concerned here your is" she stated frustrated.

Suddenly she stopped,

"They're here". With that we both look a head anticipating there arrival. In the midst of all this my wolf was giddy. Probably due to the fact she was about to but her training into action. Before I could inquire the source of her happiness

"My my, look what we have here.
If it isn't royalty". A ghostly pale man with the most piercing red eyes said, while emerging from the the forest. Staring directly at me.

In wink of an eye we were surrounding by vampires. All pale and ghostly the scent was terrible.

" You guys smell much worst
up close". Mercy snared causing the vampires around to bare their fangs.

I rolled my eyes at that. Leave it to Mercy to provoke the vamps.

"You are a beauty to behold. My king will have fun with you" with that he stepped forward; he was a heavily built man with ripped muscles. Anyone would be scared right now. But fear is not something I welcome; it's a feeling I reject.
