Sophie POV

It was my wedding day, Sophie thought. I was getting married to Fitz Vacker. He was the prince of the Lost Cities. My maid was getting me ready for the wedding. I felt so good. A couple minutes later Keefe walked in. He was my ex. I just couldn't look at him when he walked in. He bowed to my maid and asked if me and him could be left in private. When my maids left, I shifted in my spot. Keefe must've felt the same uncomfortableness because he was fiddling with his fingers.

"What do you want?" I said with the little courage I had.

"I wanted to tell you something before your big day."

I looked at him in confusion and nodded for him to go on.

"Sophie Foster. I know you probably hate me. But I need to explain something to you. I-I still love you. And I never cheated on you. I didn't tell you this before because I thought you wouldn't believe me. But I swear to you. I never cheated on you. I couldn't and I wouldn't. You are the most beautiful person I have ever meet. I know I am a horrible person. I am definitely not worth your time. So I'm just going to say this: I love you Sophie Foster. And I want you to be happy. And if marrying someone else that is not me makes you happy, than so be it."

And with that, Keefe left. I was crying in the end. I told my maids not to put any makeup on me because I hated makeup so crying didn't matter. Nothing would get ruined. I cried and cried for hours until I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in," I said trying to hide the fact that I was crying.

"Hey sweetie," Fitz said.

"Hi."

"What's wrong?"

I thought for a moment, then I decided not to say what just happened.

"Nothing honey. Just cleaning up before our big day," I said with a fake smile.

Fitz didn't notice that I was fake smiling but Keefe would. Keefe. That name left butterflies in my stomach still. What is happening to me???

Fitz said goodbye and left quickly because he had to take a call. I stared at my nails for a while. I was probably in a haze for about 30 minutes. Then I decided that I should do something. I went to look for Keefe. I looked everywhere. I couldn't find him. I haven't checked Fitz's room so I went to his. I knocked at the door but no one answered. I checked if the door was locked, but it wasn't. So I walked inside the room. When I walked inside, I saw Fitz making out with a women I have never met. She had black hair and only had her undergarments on. Fitz the same. I screamed and tears fell down my face. When they heard me they jumped away from eachother.

"Sophie I can explain—" Fitz was cut off  by me slapping him in the face.

"Don't you ever talk to me ever again Bitch!" I shouted at him and ran away. I ran into the woods. My dress was all torn. Luckily I had some shorts on and a tank top. I took off my dress and ran into the woods. I kept on running. My hair was down now from it's beautiful bun. My shoes were wrecked. I was balling. I was running blindly. Then I crashed into someone. I fell into their touch. They cradled me into their arms and sat me down. They sat next to me and patted my back. They kept me against their chest for a while. I calmed down a little. I looked up only to see the mischievous boy with ice blue eyes looking at me.

"I'm so sorry. I should've stayed with you. Fitz is such a cheater. He cheated on me with another girl. I should've stayed with you," I repeated while he rocked me back and forth.

"It's okay Sophie."

I was surprised. So he wasn't mad at me? Keefe did the unexpected next. He kneeled down next to me and popped out a beautiful ring with an ice blue diamond.

"Will you marry me Foster? Forever and always?" Keefe asked me looking straight at me in the eyes.

I didn't hesitate when I said, "Yes."

He picked me u land kissed me. We stayed like that for a while. When we finished, he picked me up bridal style. We walked out of the woods into the castle. I saw Fitz looking at us. I told Keefe to put me down. I walked to Fitz. I kicked him in te spot where you don't want to be kicked and smiled smugly at him. I walked away and me and Keefe lived a happily ever after.
