We had very different lives, he works, I'm job hunting everywhere but my old school. We didn't bump in to each other, we didn't cross paths, after 4 months I had started to accept this was going to be how it was going to be forever. Dad never asked about him, but I know that he was still thinking about him. If I was going out anywhere, he would drive me, if I said I was going out with Hannah, he would watch me leave. I know that Hannah could drive me to Will's if I asked, but Will hadn't reached out to me, so I thought that if I took it upon myself to go to his house It could possibly lead to me making a fool out of myself. What if he's found someone new?
"Mia!" Dad shouts up the stairs,
"Yes I'm coming" I snap back, finally doing the zip up on my duffle bag and swinging it over my shoulder. I swing my bedroom door open and drop it at the top of the stairs, giving it a gentle kick so it slides down in front of me,
"Mia" he groans at the bottom of the stairs watching the bag. It stops at his feet and he sighs, picking it up and swinging it over his shoulder before turning on his heel and taking it out to the car,
"well...have a nice time" Sam smirks, watching me reach the bottom of the stairs,
"shut up" I mumble, "why can't you come?"
"I can come, I choose not to, and because I'm the golden child I'm trusted at home on my own" he crosses his arms over his chest with a smug look plastered over his face. I let out a sharp breath out of my nose and shake my head,
"bye Sam" I mutter, closing the front door behind me. Dad's in the drivers seat impatiently tapping his fingers on the wheel. I pull the door open and drop in,
"Off we go, kiddo" he smiles, pulling out of the drive. To save the silence I pop my earphones in and press play on my Spotify play-list, turning it up loud so I can't hear anything else, I close my eyes and rest my head back on the headrest.

"Oh baby Mia!" Amy squeals, pulling me in for a hug,
"Hey aunt Amy" I smile, "happy anniversary" we kiss on the cheek and pull away,
"right I need your opinion" she drags me away from Dad and the bags,
"uhh, okay" I look around at where she's taking me. She leads me in to the kitchen of the hotel we're staying at and spins me to face her,
"naughty naughty Mia" she shakes her head, crossing her arms and sliming a big cheshire cat grin down at me,
"w-what?" I ask, confused,
"your father told me what you've been up to" she winks, "my best friends son" she waggles her eyebrows and it dawns on me, Will.
"Oh" I laugh nervously and look down at my feet, was she going to give me a lecture now too?
"give me the gossip then!" she buzzes excitedly in front of me,
"there's nothing to say" I shrug, "I haven't seen him since Dad told us to end it" I study my shoes,
"why?" she frowns,
"cause it's wrong?" I mumble, "Will wanted us to be apart until Dad cooled down, so that we had his "blessing" or something" I roll my eyes, sighing. Amy laughs in response,
"bet your father loves that" she rolls her eyes, "do you love him, Mia?" she looks at me seriously, trying to judge my answer from my eyes,
"more than anything" I whisper,
"go get him girl" she holds on to my shoulders,
"I can't" I feel my eyes well up,
"Why?" she frowns, her eyes staring in to mine, "what's stopping you? Dad? I hate to be that sister but there's a lot I could dig up from his teenage years" she shrugs, "you're 18, you'll only regret it if you don't" I nod slowly, letting her words sink in,
