Dr. Skeledon parked at the movie theater, with an excited Carlos, jumping in his seat. "Whoa, easy there Carlos!" The Paleontologist exclaimed, laughing at the annoyed look she got in return. "Alright, come on" she said, raising an eyebrow at the Latino boy, who practically jumped out of the truck. She shook her head, before getting out of the car.

They walked up to the counter to order their tickets. "Alright. You ready, Carlos?" Carmina asked, earning a nod from the Latino. They went in and ordered their food, then went into the movie theater.

Once the movie was over, they were walking back to the truck, when a homeless person came up and shoved a gun in Carmina's face. "Give me that watch!" he exclaimed.
Carlos hid behind the Paleontologist, who raised her hands in defense. "Easy. I don't want any trouble" she said, taking off her watch and gave it to him. He took it, still holding the gun to her face.
"Now your wallet" he said, getting Carmina's wallet when she gave it to him. He then shot her in the stomach, before taking off. "Doctor Skeledon!" exclaimed Carlos, who watched as the Paleontologist fell to the ground, holding her stomach.

"Someone, help! Please!" pleaded Carlos. He looked at Carmina with tears running down his face and on her already bloodied shirt and tie.
An ambulance and running footsteps were heard.
"Carlos!" yelled a voice. Carlos looked and saw it Murphy, with her co-worker, Darby. "What happened?" she asked, falling to her knees, trying to stop the bleeding from the Doctor's stomach.
"A homeless person came up with a gun. He wanted her watch and wallet. When she gave them to him, he shot her in the stomach" cried Carlos.
Murphy looked at Darby. "Darb, call Valerie. Now!" she exclaimed, and the brunette nodded, before quickly pulling out her phone and calling Miss Frizzle. "She's on her way, with her other students" Darby said, her crystal blue eyes filled with worry.

Murphy returned her attention to her old friend. "Come on, Bones. Stay with us" she whispered at the now unconscious Skeledon.
Once the ambulance was there, the Paramedics took over.
"Can I go?" asked Carlos, stopping the female Paramedic.
She looked at the Latino with sadness. "I'm sorry sweetie. You can't" she said. Carlos teared up.
"Darby, take Carlos to the hospital. I'll go with them" Murphy said, and Darby nodded.

Carlos looked around and saw Miss Frizzle, his class, Murphy and surprisingly, Molly Cule. "Miss Frizzle!' he yelled, running to the awaiting teacher. He sobbed, and Miss Frizzle sat down, with him on her lap and held him.

"Don't worry Carlos. She's tough, she'll make it. If not for us, then for you" Valerie said, tearing up, as she looked at her cousin and Molly.

A little while later, Carlos fell asleep, with the Frizzled redhead holding him. "Murphy, can you get them something to eat?" she asked her cousin, motioning to her students. Murphy nodded, then looked at Darby, who nodded in response.

A doctor came out a little while later, with a mask down and a tired look on his face. "Valerie and Carlos Frizzle?" he asked, looking around the group anxious visitors.
"Yes, that's us" Valerie answered, nudging Carlos awake.

"How's Doctor Skeledon?" Carlos exclaimed, running up to the doctor, who only sighed.
"Unfortunately, she lost a lot of blood," he started, looking at Valerie and not at Carlos. "but, we managed to slow it down, tremendously. She's now recovering and under heavy sedatives" he finished, looking at the Latino. The doctor had a look of pure understanding in his eyes when he saw the young boy smile in happiness.

"Thank you, Samuel" Valerie thanked, nodding. The doctor nodded in return and turned and walked away.
"Does this mean, she'll live Miss Frizzle?" Carlos asked, his bright eyes shining with tears with happiness. Valerie nodded and laughed in joy as the Latino hugged her tight.

Murphy and Darcy watched the exchange. Darcy sighed, causing Murphy to look at her. "What's with the face, Darce?" she asked, turning to face her co-worker.

"It's just, I know I'm going to sound extremely selfish but, I wonder if I can have what Bonsey and Valerie have," she said, not looking at Murphy. Katrina understood and sadly looked away. She fell in love with Darcy, and over the course of the short time, since they worked together it pained her to know she was losing time.

But for now, taking care of Carlos was their highest priority. The two recyclists watched with warm smiles as Molly Cule and Carlos sang 'Down to the very last bit' with the Latino's class. Pretty soon, the entire receptionist area joined in thereon, having a blast for themselves.
