"Thanks" was the only thing Jimin muttered out before his cheeks and ears had reddened and his hand scratching the back of his head but then remembered what he was here for, the gift.
Hands sweating, Jimin was nervous. Rehearsing lines and sentences to tell Eunri so he wouldn't mess up or stutter in front of her because that's embarrassing.
"Oh y-yeah... here's the gift" Jimin said with his small puffy hands that held the perfectly wrapped present he had that had hearts, glitters and snowflakes and also a little card below a perfect bow that had a big and neatly written To Eunri on it. He handing it to her and flashed her a smile before awkwardly laughing.
He mentally slapped his self for stuttering like a child. Eunri must think this is awkward.
Eunri softly chuckled at how flustered Jimin looked and how awkward he was acting. She finds it quite cute for a boy to act like this.
"So... uhm— I guess I'm gonna g-go now" Jimin aforementioned and turned his back on Eunri and ran on the thick snow and fell over a small stick and dusted off his thick pajamas and snuggled into his thick jacket before running back into his house with his ears and cheeks still rosy red from blushing and from the cold.
"What a dork" Eunri heard from someone behind her. She gasps as she saw someone come out of the shadow of the big old tree and came Jungkook.
The brunette had a thick jacket on and his hair was covering parts of his face as the cold icy wind blew. He wore his favorite brown boots, Timberland.
"What are you doing here?" She asked with her right brow upward and her arms crossed with her hand that had grasped the present tightly.
Jungkook chuckled at the ravenette's question, stepping closer towards her without stumbling on some thick snow like how the now black haired guy just did.
"Am I not allowed, Vice Pres?" Jungkook teased, knowing Jimin always had greeted the ravenette Vice Pres which he finds somewhat unpleasant to hear for him. Probably because it's from a cheeky boy.
Eunri rolled her eyes but a smile was plastered on her face and was about to turn away and go back but was stopped by a hand on her wrist, the warmth of his hand sent shivers through her spine and almost as if all the cold had disappeared from her body just from his touch.
"Wanna go for a walk? The pond probably looks cool now" Jungkook offered and he heard the ravenette chuckle and cooed at how she found Jungkook quite charming.
They made their way to the pond that had glistened and how the ice sparkled under the moonlight that the both was under too. They walked with their hands held together and Eunri's other hand was grasping the present while she hummed a soft melody she remembered her mum singing, thinking maybe she was dreaming at how the night was too beautiful to be real.
They stopped at the center of the bridge above the pond that the both had kissed before. Their hands weren't entangled anymore.
"The moon looks beautiful" The man said before turning his head to the ravenette. "It's always beautiful, don't you think?" She said and Jungkook hummed in response before turning his head back at the ravenette again, watching how her face looked soft with her cheeks and nose that was painted rosy pink and how her eyes sparkled as if the stars above them tonight were in her eyes, her eyes that held a thousand constellations that he couldn't just stop staring at. How her hair was on her usual ponytail and how her bangs sometimes swept at the side because of the cold winter air.
"Stop staring, Jeon" She muttered under her breath before Jungkook chuckled. "You look really pretty tonight" Jungkook said all of a sudden and Eunri went from pink to an even darker shade, she went red.
"W-Why are you like th-this when it's just the t-two of us?" Eunri asked, stuttering because she wanted to get her answers from him. How she was feeling these past days that Jungkook turned soft as if he never hated how annoying Eunri was.
"What do you mean?" The brunette boy asked, his eyebrows furrowed as he looks at the girl who had her whole attention on the bright moonlight above them.
"Why are you so sweet all of a sudden and—and just hate and embarrass me wh-when people are watching and just— you're confusing me, Jeon" Eunri said and sighed after, her feelings were getting onto her and she hated this feeling. A feeling of confusion and unease. She heard Jungkook sigh beside her and looked up to the moon.
"I don't know either. I'm confused too" That was all that Jungkook said before grabbing the ravenette's warm hand and squeezing it firmly. "But please know that I'll always be here" Jungkook said and gave it a little peck on the back of her hand and muttered a soft bye and left without saying anything else. As if he had appeared just for a moment and left all of a sudden, leaving a dumbfounded Eunri that was still watching the brunette's back that was leaving her.
