On June 4th, Serena went to her first day of work. She met some of her co-workers including a 16 year old boy named Henry. When Serena saw him, she whispered to herself, " I think I like him!!"
Then, the boss came out. Timothy S. Thompson. Mr.Thompson had been watching Serena all day and he finally wanted to come out clean. He shared to everyone that Serena was new. Mr. Thompson asked Serena to tell a bit about herself, and Serena did just that.
"Hello! I am Serena and I am 15 years old!! I live with my parents and two older siblings. My favorite recipe is shrimp fra diavlo."
The workers looked at her like something was wrong. Serena asked Mr. Thompson what her job was.
He responded, " Serena you will be working with Henry. You must prepare all the foods. Including the Bolognese. Got that? "
Henry nodded. He turned to Serena as a sign of saying hello. Mr. Thompson let her go early that day. If Serena got home past 5:00 PM, her mom would kill her.
