...Ocean and Ellis's first encounter...
I cant believe in a couple days me and Ocean will finally be Elementals and to think just 3 years ago we met. Wasn't really the way I was expecting to meet my best friend but the story is a pretty interesting one to tell...

"Tito I'm doing the night shift at the flower shop tonight and Tobias and your father are out on a mission so you'll have to babysit Ellis" My mum says. "What!, I have to go out for training like right now" Tito replies annoyed. Mum rushes out the door anyway shouting "Love you Ti." "UGH!" Tito sighs out. Then he looks over to the corner to sleeping 11 year old me and probably thinks training won't take that long, I'll be back in about 15 minutes before Ellis even wakes up.
I woke up to a scratching sound on the door which gets me really aggravated, I assumed stupid Tito forgot his key so I opened it. A girl about my age with dirty blue hair sticking out of a raggedy ski mask shouts "Give me all your money and we won't have any problems!"
That was a bad move considering my eldest brother and my dad are guards before she could escape I tied her up and unmasked her. Her eyes filled with fear and her lips were quivering, what kind of sickos sent an 11 year old to rob a house. Even though she asked for money I could tell she wanted food so we made a deal, as long as she didn't resist I would give her food and pretend this didn't happen; she tried to show pride at first but then again no child can resist my famous panini bread ha!
After we sat down for our meal and Mr. Schneider's best juice flavours I sent her on her way. Ever since that day I caught her doing petty crimes all over the town and offered to be her friend; a good influence on her. We became best friends in a couple months and since then we've been inseparable... That maybe why I'm so serious now not only has no one in my family gotten an element, I have to be some kind of role model for Ocean. Huh Im quite the story teller.

(Ellis heads out to Mr. Schneider's juice shop to meet up with Ocean)
"Hey Ellis!" Ocean calls out running towards me. "No time for greetings" I say anxiously. "Ok then...grandma" Ocean says jokingly. "I'm gonna ignore that because there's bigger problems ahead; I mean we haven't even started training for the trials!" I shout out. "Don't worry about it, I have a plan" Ocean says reassuringly.
Of course I knew it would be something stupid but she had that crazy look in her eyes, I just had to find out what it was! "Fine, what's your plan?" I say unwillingly. "Well my parents told me this story last night about how 2 outskirt children tried to steal the secret of the trials from a hidden vault in the trial halls, they failed miserably and were executed though but thats only because they got caught, WE could be those children!" Ocean says with a smile.
"ARE YOU CRAZY!!!, maybe someone put something in your juice?" I exclaim. "Just think about it Lis! Remember when we were 12 and you helped me steal food and clothes, just last year you helped me steal the test answers from Ms P's class so I wouldn't stay back a year, PLEASE Lis you're always there for me!" She begs me to agree. Honestly I would've said no but stealing that ancient vault book could possibly be the only way we could both secure an element. "I'm in" I say worriedly.
...At the trial hall after dark...
"So where exactly is this 'vault', Oh wise Ocean!" I snootily say. "This isn't the time for sarcasm Ellis" Ocean replies while rolling her eyes. We head down a tunnel that was covered with a patch of weakened cement like someone had already been there. Ocean rushes through the tunnel like something was chasing her but I was a bit hesitant:; I had a bad feeling about this.
As we climb through the gross tunnel I stumble on a hard metal key and plop it in my pocket. Ocean shouts "Jackpot!" I'm guessing that was the key to the vault. Ocean starts celebrating and singing "We found...the key to...the library...yay us!" Never thought I'd see Ocean happy about going to the library but there's a first time for everything.
As we climb out of the tunnel we seem to be in some kind of maze-like hallway and Ocean and I argue about whether to go left, right or straight ahead. "Right!" I say confidently. "No, left!" Ocean replies. We compromise and decide to go straight ahead. after about 30 minutes of lefts and rights searching for this secret library I suggest we should turn back, Ocean says "Look, there's something glowing up ahead" "Ugh I'm exhausted!" I say; but she drags me along anyway.
"Hey, where's that key?" Ocean says excitedly. I bring it out of my pocket and unlock a strange glowing door and once it opens the brightness it releases nearly blinds us. Ocean rushes in and I follow
