Prologue
Piper went downstairs for dinner. The scent of spaghetti filled her nostrils. She walked into the kitchen and smiled.
"Smells delicious mom." Piper said looking into the pot. "Thanks Piper, could you set the table please?" Her mom responded stirring the spaghetti once more.
Piper nodded and set out the plates and forks. She sat down and waited for dinner to be served.
Life was anything but interesting for Piper, everyday was normal. She wasn't complaining though, yet she wished for an adventure.
Once dinner was served, Piper quickly ate and went upstairs to get ready. She brushed her teeth and got in her pajamas and headed to bed.
Sighing to herself, she stared at the ceiling. She felt weird, like going to sleep would cause something terrible. But what? Nothing ever went terrible in her life. Shaking her head she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Splash!
Piper opened her eyes to see she was in water. She swam up as fast as she could and gasped for air when she reached the top.
She looked around, wondering what kind of dream this was. She swam to the shore, and walked along the land. She turned around to look at the ocean and gasped.
It was gone, and replaced with a forest you only see in fairytales.
"It's only a dream, I can't actually die or anything, right?" Piper asked herself. She took a deep breath and entered the forest.Piper sighed, it felt like she had been walking for hours.
"The dream keeper! She's finally here!"
Piper stopped dead in her tracks. There was someone else here. Wondering if she should take her chances and yell for someone, she decided she would be fine since it was a dream.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" Piper called out.Not receiving an answer, Piper shook her head.
"Oh come on, you're not scared are you?" A voice echoed through the forest.
Sighing, Piper ran towards the noise and stopped in her tracks to see two people staring right at her."Piper Everly, the famous 'dream keeper' everyones been talking about." The boy out of the two said.
Piper studied his features. He had greenish eyes, looked to be about 6ft tall, and had dark hair that looked to be dyed since it was fading into a lighter color."Take a picture, it'll last longer." He snarked smirking. Piper gasped when she realized she was staring, then thought about what he said before.
"How do you know my name? And what's a dream keeper?!" She asked.
The girl raised an eyebrow. "You, silly. You're the dream keeper!" Piper gave her a blank stare, and soon they both realized she had no idea what they were talking about.
"This is your world, Piper. Here you're like the queen, you're the chosen one." The guy explained.
"This is a dream, i'm lucid dreaming." Piper told herself.
"This is a dream world, but we're all real. It's like another dimension." He said."So let me get this straight, i'm in another universe in my sleep that i'm important to, and this is all real?" Piper questioned.
The two looked at eachother, then back at her, and nodded.
Piper sighed. "What's your names?""I'm Carter, and this is Sophia." Carter explained. Piper nodded.
"Alright Carter and Sophia, care to show me around?" Piper asked.
The two looked at each other and nodded for the second time. They then started walking and Piper followed.
