She's back

Dinner time at Tendo Residence

"So Ranma, how is your college school going?" Asked by Genma
"Hmm.. Its cool.." Then shoved a spoonfull of rice into his mouth
"Got any college girlfriends, Ranma?" Nabiki teased
"Nope, I ain't got one." He answered snobishly
"Oh, really? Not even one? Ever?" Nabiki asked
"Nope.. I have no time for stupid romance" He answered
"Hhhmmm.. That's odd, I think I just heard that phrase from someone before.." Nabiki said

The two fathers cleared their throat

"Are you studying well, Ranma?" Genma followed
"Of course..." Ranma responded after chewing a bunch of rice
"Isn't that great Genma? Our kids are studying really really hard!" Soun said followed by their laughter "by the way, what time will Akane arrive tomorrow?" Soun asked Kasumi

Ranma's almost choked out from his food as his mind and heart seems to stop working as she heard Akane's name and then he forgot that he is still eating, he just stared at the distance listening carefully to what Kasumi will say while the bowl of rice is still onto his mouth

"She said it will be 10am here in Japan" Kasumi responded

"So she's coming home..." Ranma thought

"Hey Ranma, are you still gonna eat that rice or what?" Nabiki asked as she stared curiously to Ranma

"Haha! We heard that loud and clear, Akane's coming home! Are you excited? Ranma?" Genma teasing Ranma

Ranma hurriedly finished his meal and went to his room "Thanks for the meal!"

Ranma's chest is aching and his heart  throbbing rappidly, he can't control his mind for thinking of what will happen if he saw her, how is he going to react now she's here but no longer his.. "..right, don't panic Ranma. She's not your fiancee anymore.. Sigh.. I wonder what her boyfriend looks like.. An opposite of me of course.." And then Ranma started to go to his deeper thoughts "Argh! Stop thinking about it! Geez this is driving me crazy!" Ranma hides himself under his blanket and went to sleep

Morning arrived and the sun is coming out again, another day for everyone. Ranma hurriedly ate his breakfast to leave the house at once and fast before 10am

"Ranma? I thought you don't have classes every saturday?" Kasumi said as she clears up Ranma's plates
"Err! Kasumi nee-chan, I-I just need to go to the library to research on something.. I gotta go!" Then he rushed to the gate "Phew.. Good thing its only 8 o'clock." Then he walked by the narrow road where he and Akane walks together every morning when they were still studying at Furinkan High, he walks by the ground this time, looking down and kicking small rocks

But later...

"Ranma..?"

A familiar voice stopped him from walking, he knew who it was and he was hesitant to look up to see who's calling him..

"H-how are you.. Ranma?"

Its her, the same voice from four years ago, nothing changed even she studied in America.. Ranma looked up

"A.. Akane.." He said with a modulate voice

He felt anger, sadness and excitement. Mix emotions, he is angry because Akane left without telling him, sadness for he longs for her and excitement to finally see her face again after 4 years.

"Wh-why are you walking..? Didn't you hailed a cab?" Ranma asked
"Well.. I did but we stopped there by the corner. I-I just wanted to walk from here.."
"Ah.. I see.. Let me help you with your bags" Ranma took the two large suitcases from
Akane and pulled it all the way to their house

It was an awkward silence, all they can hear was the sound of the suitcase's wheels rolling on the rough ground.
