Tali's POV

History is the biggest drag. I mean, who wants to learn about old dates and crusty old philosophers. This part of our subject was particularly the worst, Ancient Greece. Its so boring and just useless, I mean, it's not even Australian history so what's the point. I could tell Izzy agreed as she was typing lyrics for her latest song into her iPad instead of doing work. No one could be bothered in this stupid class. "Whatcha working on?" I whispered.

"It's for the BTS 5th anniversary." She whispered back. Right, that Kpop band. I nodded my head and turned back to writing in my book.

I want actually doing anything, oh no, that would be unusual Tali behaviour. I was doodling on my book sketches of Harley Quinn when I heard a loud cough. Looking up, my eyes were met with the angry glare of my teacher's watchful eye. She slammed down a piece of paper and continued onto other desks. I gingerly picked up the piece of paper and stared at it hesitantly. My eyes flickered over the hooded words and I felt my heart sink. "We're going to a museum?" I muttered under my breathe.

"Yup." Came a voice from behind me.

I turned around and saw Jemima shrugging. Her light blonde was swishing at the action. "At least we aren't in school the whole day." She added.

"But the whole day is just a 7 hour history lesson!" I groaned.

"It could be worse," Jemima offered.

"Could it?" I questioned again and rocked into the back of my chair.

That's when my life flashed before my eye and I felt myself falling backwards. This was it. This is how I'm going. Then my chair stopped mid fall. It was so abrupt I always didn't notice it. Turning my head slightly, I saw Sarah next to Jemima sticking out her long legs to stop my chair falling further. "Sarah I have never been more glad for your height then now."

"Right O." Was all she replied.

"I'm being serious!" I cried. "Your tallness is being useful! I'm at a height where I don't need assistance to grab stuff from the top shelf, that's the type of help Alex needs. But here you are, still helping those in need!"

"Miss Gray."

Turning so fast, I think I got whiplash, I sat straight up right, facing my teacher. "Uhhh yes?" I answered quickly.

"I asked if you could stop talking to Miss Close and Miss Bernard and that if we could continue the class." She hissed.

I muttered a half apology and saw her turn back to front of the class. "Now can any tell me an interesting fact that they were told to find for homework?" The teacher wrote the question on the word waiting for an answer. Her foot tapped impatiently and then her head snapped sideways as she saw a hand go up.

"Yes Miss Martland?"

I turned to see Sophie stand up and she quickly tussled her hair before answering. "Cerberus the three headed dog that guards the gates of hell had his name come from the word Kerberus which is a South American word meaning Spot! So Hades literally called his dog Spot!"

The teacher nodded her head and wrote it on the board. "Excellent Sophie! Anyone else?" Her eyes scanned the room. "How about you Joanna?"

Joanna's head looked up wards with large confused eyes. Her hair was a yellow mess of a mop. "Me? Ummmm," she raised an eyebrow and squinted an eye before having a light bulb moment. "Got it!"

Joanna stood abruptly and grinned as she answered the question. "Pan, the guy was like half goat and half human? Yeah he liked to shag people! Not just people he'd bang anything that walked, he'd do the dirty with a goat!"

The teacher narrowed her eyes and held her pen tightly. "Thank you Joanna for the insightful comment." She forced through her teeth.

The teacher turned back to the board and wrote a set of instructions. "I expect to see you all at the Lawrence Building at 7 AM to catch the buses to the museum! Please to bring your food or money for the day! You will be going in your groups which you can decide on now."

I made my gazes around the room making eye contacting 5 of my friends. We all smiled and nodded at each other. Hang on, 5? I turned to recount again and saw Alex in the back of the class room with her head on her arms.

"Izzy can you pass me a spare sheet of paper?" I asked without looking at her.

I felt a sheet being passed into my hand, I quickly scrunched it up and took aim. When I felt I was on target, I threw it hard and Alex's head. It bounced off and I saw her move her arm slightly, ah she was awa- ah nope, Alex had stuck up a hand with only one specific finger raised. "Miss Gray!"

I whipped around to see my teacher towering over my seat as she glared down at me. "I do not appreciate you throwing paper around the class, especially hitting your peers."

I quickly looked backwards to see Alex who was now sitting up right and looking like she had been taking notes the whole time. She was nodding her head as though deciphering every word the teacher said.

"Class dismissed."
