Chapter Six

"What happened to you, did Leo hurt you? Lea, why aren't you saying anything?" Mordecai asked, firing question after question at her. "I'm fine Mordecai, Leo woke up and tackled me, don't worry about it i'm okay and Leo still remembers me a little." Leonna said.

"Oh thank god, I thought he killed you, what do you mean he remembers you a little?"

"What i'm saying is whatever agency had him, removed parts of his memory and altered them into god knows what." Leonna said upset. "He also said that whatever they were injecting into him was used for something else but he can't seem to remember what it was."

"Don't worry, once your back at the lab, i'll remove the altered memories and see what exactly they've done to him." Mordecai explains.

Leonna stayed quiet after he was done explaining what he would do to help Leo. After debating on saying something she knows she will be unfamiliar with, it slips out anyway. "Thank you, Mordecai I just wanted to let you know that Leo and I would've never made it this far without you, especially me."

"Your welcome Lea, and I would've never made it without you guys too." said Mordecai. Leonna could here movement in the background. She felt the need to ask Mordecai a question that's really been bothering her. "Cai, I need to ask you something else regarding Leon."

More shuffling movement became diststant into the background before Mordecai came back on the phone. "Okay what is it, Lea." asked Mordecai.

"Leo seems to remember everything we've done containing contracts, he even remembers our last mission together  but he can't seem to remember memories of all three of us together," She explained.

"Wait he hasn't been showing any strange vibes has he?" Mordecai asked with a bit of curiosity. This only seemed to fuel the suspicion she thought for Leon's behavior. "Um, he seemed fine just that he asked about the mole that's still in the system nothing else to get strange vibes over," She said truthfully.

"Lea, whatever you do, don't tell Leon about everything that's been going on in the organization over the these few years," Mordecai warned,"I think they've done more than just change and alter his memories." Leonna knew this would happen, she knew there was more to the story than meets the eye.

"Does it have to do with the mole you think?" Leonna asked. More shuflling could be heard through the phone. "To be perfectly honest, I think this is bigger than the mole, I think what we're dealing with is so top secret that no one knows about it yet," Mordecai says.

There had to be more to this than just a weapon, it must be more dangerous and deadly than what it seems to be. "Mordecai, we have to find out what's wrong with him soon, I don't want to look over my shoulder every time to see if my brother is trying to kill me. I just want to know whose causing all of this and why," Leonna said making sure Leon wasn't eavesdropping.

"Don't worry like I said before, I will find a way to unalter the false memories that they've plant in his head, and we'll find out whose doing this." Leonna knows the risk there both getting theirselves in by having Leon, especially since he's more valuable alive than dead. "I hope your right Cai, because there not going to stop until we're all dead and they have Leon."

"I Know and that's why we're going to through whatever organization it is away from us, after I recieve Leo's blood, i'll be able to see what we're dealing with and i'm going to contact a few old friends who'll  be able to help us."

Leonna suggests they all meet at Mordecai's place and to send her information on everyone else's whereabouts in case he's busy trying to keep them hidden. Leonna was able to send Leon's blood to Mordecai before Leon broke the tube. It'll take a few minutes to send to Mordecai from her phone. "Okay Lea. I just recieved Leo's blood, it will take me probably an hour to sort out and see what they've done to him. Check back with me in the thirty, it might not even take me that long," Mordecai says.

They both decided to check back in thirty minutes. Leonna places her phone in her pocket and opens the bathroom door. Leonna couldn't believe what she saw next. It seemed as though time stopped itself, and to see Leon standing by the window made things even worse. Every object in the room started to float in the air, and the time on the clock remained still.

Leon made time stop itself, literally.
