Nic woke to find that Alex was still asleep. She shook her head and smiled. She thought to herself, "she's so cute, I don't deserve her". She tried to get up without waking Alex, but failed and Alex awoke. She glanced at Nic and shyly said, " oh, sorry I didn't mean to sleep so la-" and Nic quickly interrupted by saying "baby girl, your fine. Sleep as long as you want. Shoot, go back to sleep if you want, whatever makes you happy". Alex shook with excitement. She had never been treated so well. She said," Nic, will you be my girlfriend?". Nic said"why, I'd die to be your girl!!" And so they kissed and then got dressed for the day. They walked downstairs to see Nic's dad in tears. "Dad, is everything okay?", Nic asked, worried. " N-no.. I just got a call.. Alex, you may want to sit down.." Alex quickly did as she was told and asked,"Mr. Ross, are you okay?" Mr. Ross looked at her and started to cry. "Oh Alex, you have no idea.. You seem like such a sweet girl, you don't deserve what has happened." Alex started to go into a panic. "Mr. Ross, what happened?!?" He sighed and said "I got a call. Your parents and little sister have gotten into a car crash. No one in their car survived. The others involved were.. well.. Drunk" they slammed into the back of your family's car. I am so sorry" Alex began to feel dizzy and started to fall. Nic caught her in her arms. Alex began to sob. "Moth-Mother..Fa-Father..Be-Becca.. No." Nic put Alex's face in her hands and made Alex look directly into her eyes. "Alex, I am sorry, so so so sorry. How can I help?" Alex went into a rage. "HELP?! HOW COULD YOU EVEN SUGGEST HELPING? WHAT COULD YOU POSSIBLY DO?!?" and she stormed out of the door.
