The birthday party

"So father,she's not my maiden. Just simply,a friend" Loki explained to his father for the 3rd time. His father had taken it to seriously and said "well if your so intent on finding a maiden so soon maybe we should get an arranged marriage" honestly,Loki wouldn't mind but that was just him..he couldn't speak for (Y/N). Now that the hole 'maiden' situation was cleared up,all he had to do was tell him about the birthday party. Before Odin could walk away Loki called "father,one more thing!" Odin stopped walking and looked at Loki "she has invited me to her birthday party on Saturday...may I have your approval to attend? She told me that Thor may go as well" Odin stared at him for a moment "very well" he said. Loki mentally cheered before running off to the library. Time to do some research on what to get (Y/N) for her birthday.

~time skip~

When Saturday came,Loki still had no idea what to get (Y/N) for her birthday. He wanted to get her something that she could keep forever and never have a reason to throw away...wait! That's was it! He would give her his favorite green scarf that he had gotten for christmas one year. It wasn't like the fancy gifts Thor got but at least he got a present. He ran to his closet and grabbed the green scarf that was hanging on the wall and grabbed a box. 'Wait...how does one wrap a present?' He thought. First he put the scarf in the box and set the box on the sheet of wrapping appear he had then..."maids,I am in need of your assistance!" He yelled. Did you really think he was going to be able to figure that out himself? He hardly knew what present to get let alone wrap the thing. The maid known as Madelyn came to Loki's room and wrapped the present for him. It was wrapped I'm gold (not real gold) wrapping paper with green lace and a green bow. 'Perfect' Loki thought before sending the maid on her way. Now just to wait for his mother to tell him that it was time for the birth- "Loki darling,are you coming or not?" Loki quickly grabbed the present and ran down stairs "ready mother!" He said. His mother looked at the box in his hand "what beautiful wrapping,did you do that yourself Loki?" Loki shrugged "you could say that" he said before walking out the door with Thor. They were walking to the girls house together,might as well,she only lived a few houses away from the castle.

~At the birthday party (brought to you by a lazy author)~

(Y/N) sat alone at her party. Not even her own father could come,he had a good reason though. She was sure that this birthday party was going to be like all the others,no one would come and she would be alone. She sat in one of the chairs that sat against the wall and brought her knees to her chest "happy birthday to me i guess" she mumbled. Suddenly,there was a knock on the door. (Y/N) got up and opened the door "happy birthday,lady (Y/N)!" Thor boomed seeing as Loki was acting to shy to say anything. (Y/N) smiled and let them in "where is everybody?" Loki asked,he expected at least a few people to be here "nobody else came..not even my dad. He's busy making burial arrangement for my mother. I'm glad you guys came though" (Y/N) sat back in the chair she was in earlier "uh,you guys can help yourself to the food. I'd have got me some earlier but..I'm not tall enough to reach the top of the table". Well now Loki felt horrible,not even her father had came to her birthday party,her mother was dead and she had him as a pathetic excuse for a friend. But...what about the scarf,maybe that would make her feel better. Worth a shot right? Loki walked over to her and handed her the present "here" he said "it's for you" (Y/N's) gorgeous (E/C) eyes wandered from the present to Loki before she hesitantly took it "Loki..you really didn't have to get me anything. I'm just glad I'm not alone" she then carefully took off the bow and wrapping paper. After opening the box (Y/N's) eyes widened "wow...thank you Loki..really,it's beautiful" when Loki looked at what she was pulling out of the box he found that not only was there a scarf but also a gold helmet that resembled Loki's but with her name engraved in the back. He didn't put that in there so who did?..Madelyn. She was now officially Loki's favorite Maid. (Y/N) put the helmet on and then wrapped the scarf around her neck "they're both beautiful Loki" she said and Loki beamed,Thor on the other hand had made him,(Y/N) and Loki a plate of food and was watching the scene quietly. (Y/N) then took them both back off and put them back in the box and then enveloping Loki in a hug "thank you,I'd rather have you as a friend then a million friends anytime" she whispered as Loki blushed. Oh yes,this was going to be an awesome friendship.
