"Is your refrigerator running? Well then you better catch it!"
A story in which an egotistical pop star keeps getting prank calls from a sarcastic girl
Book 1 of 5 in the communications series
"I can't believe I actually let you come with me," Sergio admits as the two of us stand in front of this little backdrop. We have a photographer along with us too in order to take the highest quality photos possible.
"Well, you did," which set up Drew's escape plan part two, the meet and greet escape. Mia and Morgan are at the very end of the line, they're making sure of it. Morgan is going to distract Sergio while I "go to the bathroom." By the time he notices it's been too long it'll be too late. Mia and I will already be gone. I'm taking her out to dinner tonight at some fancy restaurant that I don't know the name of.
"Can you start sending people in?" Sergio asks the main guard. He nods and exits the room. When he comes back in, he has the line tangled through the building. As the first people walk in, a surge of energy floods through my veins. It's been so long since I've actually met a fan (with exception of Morgan). It's going to be as if it's a whole new thing. I have to keep my composure. I need to prove that I changed, for both myself and my management.
---
"Thank you guys so much," Sergio smiles as the last group of people are ushered through the door. Well, the last group with exception of my special group with my special girl in it.
"Okay these two are the last two," the man states when he brings Mia and Morgan in. Morgan is wearing leggings along with an IRL shirt. Mia on the other hand is wearing this little black dress that looks stunning on her. She has a cropped leather jacket and leather boots going along with it while her hair is pulled up and back. In all, she looks completely gorgeous.
I'm not the only one who looks stunned. Sergio looks stunned too, in general. I haven't seen him like this all day. He is just shocked.
"Hi guys," I smile genuinely. I'm on the other side of Sergio, so they're going to have to hug him first. Mia goes first, hugging Sergio. I hate to admit it, but I feel a hint of jealousy attack me when they hug, when he pulls her close.
"You never called me," Sergio laughs, and the fire grows. Morgan smirks over in my direction. I just roll my eyes at her and continue on.
"Oops," she laughs with ease, pulling out of the hug. She then moves on to me as Morgan hugs Sergio and starts talking to him. He seems into it.
"Hi," I greet her, wrapping my arms securely around her. She smiles and wraps her arms around me.
"Hey Drew."
"Okay so then I accidentally tripped over this kid and made him drop his ice cream. I was so disappointed when it wasn't him," Morgan goes off. Sergio laughs.
"So you're telling me you had a full on chase throughout Central Park cause you thought this guy on a bike was Brady but it wasn't even him. That's dedication," Serg giggles. This is my chance to escape.
"Hey, can I go use the bathroom. It's an emergency," I tell the security guard, making a worried face.
"Be quick," he barks at me. I nod and scurry out of he door, taking my bag with my suit and wallet with me.
---
"Is Morgan still distracting Sergio?" I ask Mia as she pops up behind the building where I'm waiting in her smart car.
"The last time I checked she was telling him the story of when she dove across the kitchen floor to keep Ashton Irfin's bowl from falling," she laughs. I jog around and hop into the other side of the car.
"By the way, you look stunning," I tell her. She smiles over at me.
"As do you." she pulls out from the lot behind the building and out to the crowded streets of the city.
"Like when I saw you across the room, it took everything inside of me to not yell that you look fucking hot."
"This is our first time hanging out in person as a couple," she tries to change the subject once her cheeks start heating up.
"I made you blush," I nudge her side.
"I'm aware of that."
"You look sexy," I wink at her, and she bites the inside of her cheek. I smirk and rest my hand on her thigh, my thumb rubbing in a circular motion.
"I'm supposed to be driving, and you're making it pretty damn hard."
"You know what else is pretty damn hard?" when the words escape my mouth, Mia chokes on air.
"You're being distracting. I don't want to crash."
"You're distracting too."
"But I'm driving."
"I'll stick the key into the ignition," I hum, and her face turns bright red again.
"We're going to stop with the sex jokes, okay?"
"Whatever you say," after I say that, she sighs. "By the way, I don't have any STI's. I made Sergio let me out to let me go check." She starts laughing.
"Of course you did."
"It seemed like something you'd bring up. 'No Drew, I can't hold your hand because my teacher told me that can spread STI's'," I mimic her, and she starts laughing some more.
"That does sound like something I'd do."
"You know what I'd do?"
"Oh look we're here," she hops out of the car. I jump out with her. She starts walking towards the restaurant, and I jog to catch up with her, taking her hand in mine. When we reach the door, I open it for her. We walk inside and right up to the host.
"Reservations for two under Ramos."
"That'll be fifteen minutes," when he says that, my lip tightens into a straight line.
"Do you know who..." I start, but Mia quickly interrupts me.
"Thank you sir. We'll just sit in the waiting area," she drags me by the arm over to the chairs and sits down. "Drew," she hums, placing her hand on top of mine. "You can't use the 'I'm Drew Ramos' card anymore."
"You're right, I'm sorry. It's a habit," I sigh, running a hand through my hair once. I'm an idiot.
"A breakable one. It's fine, this is a work in progress."

Guess who gets to meet irl again? THIS GIRL! I'm so excited agh. And it's on my best friend's birthday
Sorry for the lack of updates. Yesterday I didn't know when I was going over to my dad's house so I didn't want to start writing and on Monday I planned a whole new series for when I'm done with United (if I stick with it). Like I NEVER do that. I wrote out the plots for every single book and what I had to slide into each book. If all goes as planned, I'll love that series. It's planned to be pretty legit
This is probably going to be my last update on this until I get back from vacation so I love you all and don't have too much fun without me on here
