My best friend keeps talking about her trip to Utah, it sounds so interesting, at least half of me thinks so. We are walking home from school and a man pulls over to us. He yells "hi!" to my best friend then asks if we need a ride. My friend tells me that this is her 16 year old neighbor that just got a car and will drive anyone anywhere! We say sure, then I tell him my address. My and my best friend just talk, completely focused on our conversations. First the ride seems to go by quickly, by then it feels like we have been in the car for hours. We finally separate from conversation to look out the window and see pitch black! This wasn't supposed to happen until we are at home for a long time. I give my friend a questioning glance and she just shrugs. The neighbor says, "Sorry girls! Went onto the highway by accident and couldn't get off of it! Ah here is home!" He opens the door for us to get out of, but when I look out the window, there is only a store in the middle of the desert. He says, "Actually you can stay in here!" He pushes his way into the back seat and then starts pushing himself upon me. He whispers into my ear that I have something that he wants. I first thought he meant my body because it seems like he was going to rape me, but then he says, "Apparently you think I'm gonna rape you, but no, I just want my girlfriend's subconscious back," and I could have never been so confused in my life.
