As Dan gave me disapproving looks, my heart sunk and I felt sick. I didn't mean for him to find out this way! I just wanted to tell him about it, not kill someone in front of him! Wow, Addison. You really screwed up this time.

After a few minutes of a lecture from Dan about keeping things from him, I couldn't take it anymore and I began walking away. He stopped speaking right when I turned around and I could here his footsteps coming towards me.

I stopped walking and held my hand up. I didn't turn to fade him but I could tell he stopped walking. I told him I needed to be alone and he backed away. I walked to the tallest building I could find and I climbed to the top of it.

I sat on the edge of the roof and looked down. My feet were dangling off the tall building and I could see a couple cars pass by below. I sighed to myself and thought it was time to test out what I'm capable of.

I stood up and stood on the very edge of the building. I turned around and held my arms out. I took a deep breath and I put my weight on my heels. I was pretty high up and I had an idea of what I was going to do.

I closed my eyes and tipped backwards. I felt weightless. I felt like I had left the roof but my body stayed up there. A slight smile tugged at the corner of my mouth as I felt the wind push through my hair and gravity bring me down.

When I hit the ground, I turned into the black mist and I became myself again quickly. But it wasn't /really/ me. The mist had formed the shale of my body and I had control over it. I was the black power.

I was only a rough outline that was filled in of myself and I didn't walk - I glided through the air.

I turned back into myself and slowly held my hands out. I looked on either side of myself and saw the windows of the abandoned houses crack and shatter into pieces. There was a loud ringing noise around me and the ground began to shake. I felt the power around me and I took one hand and slammed it to the ground as I kneeled down with it. A dark purple and black force field formed around me and moved outward to make the ground underneath me crack and split in half. The building around me shook but didn't fall.

I collapsed to my knees and began breathing heavily. I looked down at my shaking hands and smiled. I looked forward and began walking back to Dan and Phil.
