They broke up. It was simple, they fell apart, end of the story, it happens all the time in the world that we live in. No more cuddles, no more kisses, no more teasing, and the list could go on. They really loved each other, there was no denying. Maybe they gave up easily and didn't fight enough. But they couldn't do much about it. Why? Because it's been three years. Three years since their last goodbye.

The first years since the break up weren't easy, especially the first. They missed each other but their pride wouldn't let them admit it. That's how it went, 2016 late nights, writing long paragraphs to each other but then instantly deleting them, oh stupid pride. That's one of the main reasons why they started writing music while on the so-called "break", to express everything they wanted to say but didn't had the courage. It's true when people say that time flies, yesterday they were together cuddling, teasing each other now, they are close as strangers, close thanks to music but strangers thanks to their pride. The year went on, Harry took a small break on music while filming an upcoming movie and Niall kept on writing music.

The year 2017 was a bit easier. They both had been working on their albums. Well, everyone had been working on different projects, paths have separated. Liam, Louis, and Zayn were working on writing music maybe the release of an album, they didn't even know but everything was kept secret. While Niall and Harry had been more open about what they were doing. Later on may 12, 2017 Harry released his first self titled solo album debut. Rising rumors about a lover and a secret relationship and how he was dedicating the album to a mysterious person. Then, on October 20, 2017, Niall released his first solo debut album, "Flicker", also with songs with heartbreaking lyrics. Most songs were dedicated to someone that nobody knew.

But what anybody knows is that with the release of their singles and albums, the constant questions in the interviews asking about their bandmates, their love life, and to whom was dedicated the album. That last question was slowly opening a wound that both men thought it had been sealed and healed. How bad it was? And what the consequences could be? Those questions were easy to answer, just not yet.

The year 2015: Niall and Harry said goodbye.

The year 2016: No physical interaction.

The year 2017(final): First physical interaction.

The year 2018: New era...
