Present time

The lads were having a small meeting in Louis's house in Los Angeles. Liam and Zayn were supposed to be there but they said they had some stuff to do related to their album at the last minute, which was odd because they had planned this meeting for a few weeks.

But also, Niall couldn't shake the feeling that all of this has something to do with Louis because he knew everything that happened and was happening between him and Harry and he is a bit grateful with Louis for the effort that he is doing of trying to start some kind of conversation between Niall and Harry. But it was hard and awkward. Not like Niall and Harry haven't talked at all in the last few years they started talking at the end of 2017 to this day.

They haven't seen each other in a few months, every time they see each other, they hang out for a while and that's it, after that, they continue to have conversations through texts or calls and sometimes video call (but those always turn out in some kind of staring contest). The few times that Niall had seen Harry was when he invited him to his concert which was very emotional for him because it seemed like in some songs Harry was looking at him and singing directly to him and piercing his soul and heart like they used to do. But this time, it didn't feel right, there was an excruciating pain digging him up from underneath since most of the songs weren't romantic, this time the songs were about heartbreak and the cooling of a relationship. Niall made it through the whole concert without losing control and falling into a sobbing mess. When the concert finished he went backstage to meet Harry and together they left to some park that Harry suggested since it wasn't very crowded, they hung out for a while, talked about everything like how they used to, except about the past. When Niall and Harry said their goodbyes to each other, both were emotionally exhausted, it seemed like they were connecting again, bringing back painful memories and good times.

The other time they saw each other again was when they both had a presentation at a festival, even though they didn't sing the same day, as Harry's presentation was one day after Niall's, he waited and saw Harry's presentation backstage and both men again left together to some restaurant (this time, Niall's idea) and had a nice conversation but since then, they haven't seen each other mostly because they were both on tour.

It's not like they haven't tried to stay in contact because they always talk but every time they have some days off from tour and if "casually" both of them were in London or Los Angeles, Harry invited Niall to his house. Niall always made an excuse that he couldn't go and vice-versa. It was something stupid, kinda childish but it is what it is and maybe their wounds haven't healed at all yet. But at the end of the day what happened before was part of the past right? Okay, let's go to the present.

Right now Niall was thinking of 50 ways to kill Louis Tomlinson because not only he made them go to a "lads meeting" but he also made Harry and Niall sit in front of each other (kinda close) knowing very well that Niall and Harry were starting to reconnect again (and to mention that it was awkward as fuck, it was an understanding), but he thought that it was better to leave the "50 ways to kill Louis Tomlinson" for later or another day since he didn't want to leave Freddie without a father yet. Niall was deep in his own thoughts until he heard Harry's voice and came back to land.

"Niall, you okay man?" Asked Harry who was also thinking about how to kill Louis. But when he looked at Niall he seemed to be deep in thought so he decided to ask if he was okay.

"Sorry, what?" Asked Niall snapping out of his thoughts.

"I asked if you were okay" Replied Harry his lips curving into a smile. "You kind of zoned out", continued Harry after Niall didn't respond anything.
