A Philly Jawn

Chapter 12

We got home near 6:30pm

We finished setting up the room and it looked something like these

We got my uncle to come over to install the tv on the wall

I wanted a space where I could do my makeup and I knew my aunt had some extra spray paint and desks in the basement so I found one that she let me spray paint white

She also had an extra rectangle mirror that had a gold rim so I put my fairy lights around it and put them around my bed too.

my room was so cute and by then it was 10:30 after everything had been done and I was hungry

I put on some cheap forever 21 tights, a tank top, and a big furry nude coat from Urban Outfitters and some nude fur slides that matched the coat

"Aunt Niyah I'm going to the corner store down the street to pick up some fries, and a cheesesteak you want sum?"

"Yea get me a hoagie wit turkey, tomatoes, mayo, lettuce, provolone, salt, pepper, and hot peppers"

"ard"

"ma, sash y'all want sum?"

"yea we both gon 2 steaks wit wiz, tomatoes, onions, and peppers"

"ard"

"ima be back soon"

"be safe"

"i'm good"

I picked up my money and put it in my bra so nobody on the streets gon think I got money

I put my hair in 2 braids and got my phone

I got in the store and picked up a blue mistic a 1 liter ginger ale and 2 big bags of sour cream and onion Herr's chips

"yo get me an american wit onions, peppers, and tomatoes and 2 provolones wit onions, peppers, and tomatoes and a large fry wit wiz on da side and a turkey wit provolone, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, hot peppers, and salt and peppa "

I said to the guy

"aye mami, anything else?"

"yea and get me 10 of dem small peanut chews" as I put the drinks and chips on the counter

"ard it's 20.78"

I gave him the money because they charge extra if you use a card in Philly

I walked around the store and waited for my steaks and fries to be done

After 10 minutes this boy that looked my age walked in, he was latino

he looked my way and I acted like I was texting somebody on my phone

"wassup mami"

I nodded my head and smiled at him

he walked behind the counter and put on an apron

"ma you wanna wooda ice?"

"i ain't buying nun else"

"na it's free ma"

"ard what flavors youz got"

"uhhh" he started speaking Spanish
it I was good though because Spanish my second language
that's why I took french in Charlotte and everybody speak spanish at the stores so I just learned it in elementary

"dame un pequeño arcoiris"
(get me a small rainbow)

"ard"

"thanks boo"

"no problemo mami"

he was not cute fo sure but I liked his personality

By then my food had been done so I grabbed it and walked out the store

I got home safe

"I'm back y'all"

"bet" sash said

"here ma and sash this yalls"

"here aunt niyah"

"thanks boo" aunt niyah said

"thanks mora" ma said

"thanksss boo" sash said

"no problem"

I got my cheesesteak out wit my fries and went to work🤤

I was in my bed watching my daily dose of Queen and Clarence on the apple tv when my mom came in

"mora i gotta talk to you"

"ard"

"you are going to be homeschooled but not here you gon go to NorthWest Philly wit Reniyah and Sani"

Sani's my old friend from Philly that's why Sani in Charlotte became my best friend because she reminded me of the Sani here

"They homeschooled now?"

"yea"

"ok how Ima get there?"

"when Sash go to work she gon take you and you gon stay there for the whole week and come back here during the weekend"

"when this start?"

"tomorrow, because tomorrow's monday"

"ard lemme pack"

"ok you know I love you"

"love you more"

I'm happy because I'm bout to see my childhood best friend and Reniyah who like my older sis man I missed them so much

this chapter was just a filler
