We get out of the car at the school. "I'm still not happy about this." I say and then let out a sigh. This is not how I wanted to spend my Saturday.
"Remember when you're married to the person you dance with today that you didn't want to come and that, actually, you owe your future to us, thank you very much."
"You two look great. But I look better, obviously!" Morgan says, completely ignoring the arguing Bre and I had been doing. "Now lets go inside, children."
We walk inside and are met with hundreds of balloons, streamers, and the stage has a sign with writing on it. Probably saying who's gonna be singing.
But it's probably not Why Dont We so we just ignore it. There's no way it's actually Why Dont We. In our dreams.
"Let's go dance like weirdos and pretend like no ones watching but in reality they all are!" We all laugh.
This isn't even my school. It's Morgan's. I don't even know why I'm here. Morgan's principal comes onto the stage.
"So if you haven't read the sign already, or you don't know who they are, you're all probably wondering who's gonna be singing this year. Well a band was passing through, on their tour, so we asked if they could preform, and, please welcome, Why Dont We!"
Hundreds of screams erupted around me including mine. There's no way. They're not here. This is a dream. I pinch myself really hard.
"Oh my god. Is this really happening? It's not. There's no way they're only 5 feet from us." Bre says, her eyes widen as she watched the 5 boys walk on the stage.
They do look hotter in person. Like really. You think they look hot when you see them in pictures? In person? 10x the hotness. Which is dangerous! I didn't even know that was possible!
Like how do they get more hot. This is overwhelming. Im gonna pass out.
But before I even got the chance to comprehend what was happening (granted I tried to comprehend it for a whole hour) they were gone. Off the stage. And they probably weren't coming back. There was no way they'd come back. They would get torn to shreds by the fangirls.
"Did that just happen? Were we that close to them and didn't even get to say hi?" I ask and the other two nod.
"That was the best moment of my FUCKING LIFE!" Bre yells at the top of her lungs making other people look at her but she just ignored them. "Next you're gonna tell me BTS is here and I'm gonna full on fucking pass out holy sh-"
"You can stop cussing now, child." Morgan says, shushing her. "Besides. They probably already left."
We go back to our tables and sit down, talking. "Isa. Bella. Isabella. Caramel. CARAMEL!" I hear and I snap out of my thoughts. Looking up at the two who are both smiling like idiots.
"There's a cute guy behind you checking you out." Bre says, then she laughs and winks.
"How would you know he's cute? Doesn't he have a mask on? You can't see his face." I sigh at her and she frowns.
"Oh shut up you hoe. Now maybe you should go talk to him. I told you I was right. I told you you'd find a cute guy here!"
"I haven't even talked to him yet! He could be some fucking pervert, so can you just shut up about him being cute." I take a breath and turn around and see a boy staring at me. He quickly turns away and keeps talking to his friends when ones eyes widen. Then the friend looks at me. He smirks and pushes the one we were originally talking about towards me.
"Wow, okay." He says under his breath. His voice sounds very familiar but I just can't seem to put my finger on it. "Hi. Uhm. Do you want to dance?" My eyes widen and I look back at Bre and Morgan.
They're both smiling very widely and they nod frantically. I turn back to the boy. "Uh.. sure." I say and stand up. He bows.
"Why thank you." I laugh and roll my eyes at him. He takes my hand and pulls me to the dance floor.
"Sheesh." I mutter under my breath.
