It was sports practice and coach let me practice lacrosse with the guys, rather than soccer with the rest of the girls. Liam and I are currently lining up to shoot against the goalie, and he keeps looking over at the girls playing football, and it's starting to get on my nerves.
I follow his gaze and find the girl who Tracey hurt and was working at Sinema, who's name I found to be Hayden, staring back at him. I huff before jogging forward and picking up a ball in the net of my stick. I nod to the goalie and swing my stick back before lunging forward, send the ball flying out of the net and in between the goalie's head and his net, too fast for him even to move to stop it.
"Woah! Good shot!" The guy exclaims, lifting his helmet to smile at me.
"Thanks," I grin, turning round to share my excitement with Liam. My smile quickly falls into a stiff line, seeing his eyes still set on Hayden, as I sort of stomp back to the back of the line. I'm not usually the jealous type but this girl is really getting on my nerves. I mean, come on, we went on a date just two days ago.
He finally snaps out of it and goes to take his shot, missing the net completely. I smirk, enjoying his failure, although feeling slightly guilty for it.
I notice as he watches Hayden place the soccer ball down, before kicking into the soccer net with ease. Although, I'd like to mention that there is no goal keeper, so it's not really that much of an achievement, a five year old could do that. I could do that. She turns around sending Liam a cocky smirk, which seems to egg Liam on. He seems to no longer care for the line of people waiting to shoot, which annoys me far more than it should, and picks up another ball, shooting it. It hits the back of the net almost as fast as mine did and I can feel the self-pride radiating off of him. The two of them act like they're just trying to beat the other but there's clearly some sort of chemistry happening there, which I'm not willing to stick around for.
The competition between the pair continues, only angering me more until I eventually do decide to storm off. I enter the main school building and just before I enter the changing rooms, a boy runs down the hallway shouting, "does anyone here have asthma?"
"Scott," mutter, for some unknown reason knowing that it was him that was in trouble.
Brushing it off, I sprint towards Scott's locker and make sure no one is watching, before ripping the lock off with my werewolf strength and shoving it into my hoodie pocket. I rummage through the contents of it, finally finding the asthma pump hidden away at the back. I close the locker door and quickly find Scott's scent and running in that direction.
I reach the door, a group of people crowding around the door, "I've got it, I've got the inhaler!"
The students move out of the way letting me through. I drop to my knees and slide across the floor to where Scott is sat leant against the teachers desk, the teacher quickly moving out of my way.
I place the inhaler in his hand and urgently try to get his attention, "Scott!" He continues to wheeze, gazing behind me, "Scott, come on!"
I quickly turn so that the teacher and students cannot see my eyes before partially shifting so that my eyes glow, "Scott," I say, voice deep due to the shift, and my hand gripping his shoulder tightly.
His eyes suddenly widen, looking at me, he wheezes loudly before quickly shaking the inhaler and quickly putting it to his mouth to take. His breathing begins to steady after a few deep breaths to fill his lungs.
"Thanks," He sighs, looking into my eyes.
I remove my hand from his shoulder, I smile timidly, "anytime." Pulling out his broken padlock from my pocket I grimace, "you might need a new padlock though."
