"Wake up, sweetie. It's time to go." I hear a voice above me say.

I groan. Go where? I groggily open my eyelids and look up. I see my parents standing above me.

Fraya and Josie are ok the doorway, already fully dressed.

"I don't wanna get up!" I complain.

"It's time to go to California, dear." As soon as my dad says this, I shoot up.

Job transfer.

Everything comes back to me.

"Mom! I can't go! No!" She looks at me with sad eyes.

"I'm sorry. But you have to. Fraya and Josie are coming to the airport with us."

Tears fill my eyes.

I'm really leaving.

I jump out of bed and push past my parents. I run to the bathroom. Looking in the mirror, I almost scream.

It looks like a rat nested on my hair. I'm guessing that I didn't wash off my makeup last night because I have mascara, eyeshadow, and lipstick smeared all over my face.

I look like a just came out of the grudge.

I quickly jump into the shower and do all my 'stuff'

After I get out, I blow dry my hair and get out my crimper/curler.

15 minutes later, I have 'beachy waves'

I walk out of the bathroom and into the hall, still in my towel.

I race to my bedroom door.

Thankfully, everybody left.

I walk to my closet and think about what I should wear.

I end up grabbing a white crop top that has '#selfie' on it in a coral color and shorts in the same color. I then grab my white sandals and slip them on.

I snatch my five suitcases off of the ground. Fraya and Josie helped me pack then last night. I walk out of my room slowly and enter my living room.

My parents stand up with Josie and Fraya.

My best friends- well, more like sisters- both come over to me and give me hugs.

"It's time to go." My mom tells me with a sad smile.

One hour later, I'm sitting on an airplane, headed to Cali.

* * *

"Time to wake up dear." My eyes slowly flutter one. I sit up and look around. Ugh. Where am I?

Oh ya. The plane. Looking to my left, I see a small old lady smiling at me.

"We're at California." She tells me then walks away. I grab one of my bags from the overhead compartment and get off the plane. As soon as I'm out the door, in he by a rush of cold air. I shiver. They have the AC on pretty high.

I look around and try to see the people... the Masons'? I don't know what the couple looks like, so I don't know what I'm looking for.

After looking around for a few minutes more, I decide to just sit down and wait for Everybody to leave so I can see who's left.

About 30 minutes later, everybody is gone. Well, that was quick. There are only a few people left.

A really old couple. Not them.
