Unlucky

Yami put the phone down on the bedside table and rubbed his eyes and face with his right hand, sighing lightly.
"What's wrong?" Yugi asked, smiling warmly at him. Yami took in a deep breath and prepared himself for what he needed to say.
"It's Joey. He is in hospital, Seto's with him currently." He said, urging Yugi to get up and out of bed. As soon as Yami told him he moved faster than ever, throwing on some of his clothing so he could go and see his best friend, Yami following suit. Once they were ready they got into Yami's car and they drove to the hospital. Just like seto, only quicker, the two dashed around the hospital to find Joey.
"By Ra I hope that they are okay?" Yugi states, panting like a dog in the bright sun light.
"They?" Yami questioned, running just ahead of Yugi.
"Seto has to deal with this too you know. He is all alone in there." Yugi replies, trying not to trip over his own two feet.
"I suppose so yeah." Yami finally admits. The two eventually found Joey in a room on his own, Seto not in sight. Yugi falls at the side of Joey's bed and beggs for him to wake up so he knows that he's okay, but he doesn't respond. A moment of panicking flushed through Yami, not knowing why Joey wasn't waking up began make the two suspect the worst. Before either of the two could react a nurse had already entered the room and tried to calm the two down.
"Please, take a seat and I will explain everything to you about the two young lads." He begged in a soothing manner. The boys did as instructed and sat down on the only chair in the room. Yugi on Yami's lap.
"I'm afraid that Mr Wheeler has a problem with his lung and needs a replacement. He can't breath properly on his own so we are helping him to do so. He won't respond to you trying to wake him but he is still alive and well, for his case." The nurse explained calmly. The two let the information sink in for a moment before Yugi decided to ask a question.
"Will he survive this?" He asked, his breathless voice drifting though the room.
"Yes, if he gets an eligible transplant offer in time." She answered carefully.
"Time?" Yami asks, pulling Yugi in so he can cry in his shoulder.
"We don't know how much time he has left. Unfortunately his case is deteriorating. His other lung is struggling to function on its own. Its uncommon for this to happen but it is possible. His lungs weren't the strongest to begin with." The nurse explains, causing Yugi to cry more hysterically. Yami fought back the tears and tried to stay strong for his boyfriend. Asking the appropriate questions when and where they were needed.
"As for Seto?" He asked, trying not to let his voice waver.
"The amount of stress that was put in him as he found out courses him to faint." She began. She took a deep breath before carrying on. She was clearly finding it hard to form the words. A year or two seeped from Yami's eyes as he waited for the nurse to carry on. "On his way down to the floor he-he-he hit his head on that table. Is is still alive but currently unresponsive. He had to put him into a medically induced coma so we can try to allow the brain to repair without being stressed or knocked about. We don't know what will happen with his state. Currently it is stable but it could either imprive or deteriorate. We don't know if or when any of this could happen." The nurse finished, pulling out a tissue from her left trouser pocket and wiping her eyes. She apologised before leaving the two alone to cry over their recent news. Yami tried to hold back his pain and patted Yugi on the back, hushing him to calmness.
