     Ruslan

"She escaped," I said nonchalantly. I could care less about all of this.
"What?!" Alpha Bjørn growled furiously as he grabbed my neck and pinned up against the wall, "you mean to tell me that you are all incapable of capturing a girl with no physical training?!"
"Actually ..." I said before he snarled and threw me into a wall, the stone crumbling around me. The wind was knocked out of me and I struggled to breathe again, coughing and wheezing.
Before Bjørn could do any more damage to me, Snorre, my adoptive father, stepped in front of me.
"We tracked her to the shore but by the time we got there, she was already far out to sea. It is not a place for us wolves," he said calmly.
"I don't care how many lives are lost. I ordered you to find her," Bjørn hissed.
"Tch. You'll never find her," I muttered.
"What did you say?" He asked, his eyes glowing red.
"Ruslan! Enough! It's not worth it!" Snorre warned.
"I said you'll never find her. She won't allow herself to be found by the likes of you. And besides, isn't anyone the least bit curious as to why we're searching for her? I mean, you don't really expect me to believe you care for her ... because if you had, she wouldn't have left like this. Because you would have done whatever it takes to make sure she is happy," I argued before Bjørn's fist connected with my face and I fell to the floor.
"Don't you dare tell me how to raise my daughter, you swine!" He bellowed down at me. I stumbled back up, still dazed from the hit.
"Exactly my point. I wasn't telling you how to raise your kid. No parent's perfect. I was telling you how to treat a person. And I can guarantee you have never treated any of us like that," I declared. At this point, the other wolves began to stir.
"You insolent brat!" Bjørn snapped as his sclera flashed black and white, his wolf begging for control. He charged forward and the right side of my face began to burn as he clawed it viciously. Several wolves pulled him back while Snorre grabbed me and dragged me down the hall and outside towards his hut.
Blood poured from my wound into my eyes and I staggered to the water basin, splashing water in my face to get rid of the blood. Snorre sat me down on the bed and stitched my wounds as we heard shouts from all the other pack members, cries of rebellion.
"You just had to push him over the edge," he sighed.
"Better now than never," I said nonchalantly. For a moment, there was silence between us.
"After what we witnessed yesterday, I have to agree with you. There must be an ulterior motive to keeping Isla here. I believe she might be a stronger Alpha than her father and if that is the case, I want you to be there to witness her growth. She will change the world," he explained.
     Meanwhile ...
"Ugh. I'm all out of food. Jormungand lost my fishing pole. I'm gonna die out here in the middle of the fucking ocean!" Isla screamed as she laid in the bottom of the boat. Then she heard a soft thud and looked up.
"Wow. I guess I'm a bit late for this but uh ... land ho?" She said as she looked at the beach a couple feet away.
