"So why is your eye purple" Gabriel asks for the 10th time

"I.was.punched" I sigh out of frustration, before grabbing my bag

"Should I be concerned" he asks "no" I walk out the door

The sun was suppose to go down any minute now, and I really wanted to enjoy it.

I walked down the way to familiar roads hoping my destination was near.

My body trails me to the only household I know.

I knock on the door waiting a few seconds for the door to swinging open and me engulfed in a hug

"Hey Liz how are you" Lisa lays her hands on my shoulders

" I'm good I was hoping maybe I could speak to Ethan" I smile nervously

Wait what? I came here to talk to Ethan. I didn't. I want to talk to him? Oh fuck I do

"Oh yas! And also he came down for breakfast and dinner today, he also said good morning. I'm so happy lizette you are amazing" she jumps up and down

How can someone be so happy yet her death is so near.

"None of this is me, its all him I'm telling u"

She makes a face as if I was lying then her smile appears again and yells Ethan's name, I waited at the front door for Ethan to come down.

I look up to see a boy walking down, with gray sweatpants and a black t-shirt, and a gray beanie.

He walks quicker towards me while I feel my insides crumble

I like him.

Shit shit shit

"Hey" I smile looking at him, he smiles "hi"
An instant smile appeared on both of our faces.

"I'm going on a walk around here, you wanna join?" I ask

He shakes his head yes before shutting his front door. And walking out with me.

"How have you been" I question, our direction was towards the gray sidewalk. The sun was already down and the stars shined bright.

"I've been ok, how has you're eye been" he questions, I almost laugh "it's ok, doesn't really hurt much" I shrug

I watch him smile from the corner of my eye. My stomach twists and turns.

I'm happy to be around him, even though I hate people.

"How has everything been at home" I ask him, he looks at me and shrugs

"It's been ok, it's getting hard. I'm so scared to loose my mom." He swallows hard

I look at him, and my heart drops one hundred feet

Poor kid.

We walked into an empty park, we both sat on the bench. Looking at the floating stars.

"Thank you for taking me out" he says through the silence.

"I- you're welcome" I smile. He sits up looking at me, before I do the same.

His eyes were a green with a brown almost mixed into it. I started into them, as if they were my own.

He looked at my eyes and down to my lips, yet I didn't know what he was doing.

He moved closer to me, still looking at my lips then up to my eyes.

He caught me staring

He leaned in closer towards my lips while I do the same.

Our lips crashed slowly against each other, my insides are on fire.

The kiss ended with a smile on our face. My cheeks were red of color

"I like you" he blurts out looking at me.

Shit. What do I tell him

"I-I- like you- too" I press my lips together.

My first kiss.

With the kid who I never ever thought I could break through.
