Should the U.S legalize gay marriage?
Do you think it's fair that some people have the right to get married while others don't? Just because of who they love depends on whether or not they can get married. There are only 17 states that have already legalized gay marriage. This essay tells why gay marriage should be legalized in the USA.
First, lets talk about child adoption. Legalizing gay marriage may lead to more children being raised in same-sex households, which are not an optimum environment because children need both a mother and a father. (Gay Marriage ProCon.Org). But, gay marriage would make it easier for same-sex couples to adopt, providing stable homes for children who would otherwise be left in foster care.
