after a painstakingly long conversation about all the important things that'd happened then to now you realized that you had wasted seven hours and it was five in the morning

"look" you said "there are 13 of you and you're all back from the dead. it's 5 in the morning and you're gonna help me clean my apartment!"
you thought about something "look, we need food and cleaning supplies..." you took them to a spare room, bulletproof glass like the rest of your house. the only dark room in the house was all dark, stain proof, and comforting. and best of all... "no way to open from the inside. washington is in charge and i'm taking lee, burr, madison, and... hercules and john. perfect. you all have nothing to destroy" you threw them some chips and water bottles- once you were sure each man held one of each you left .

shopping was calm because the people you brought were reasonable, you realised that hercules, always portrayed with a rough scratchy voice that actually sounded calm and soothing. he also wasn't being rash and loud. he sat there with the rest of you, eating the ice cream you got them. you gave each one a deeper-than-normal glance and saw the people that the rest of the world had been mischaracterizing since hamilton: an american musical came around.

hercules was a big ol softie of course but his true exterior wasn't rough either. just hardened. he isn't burnt cheese toast, he's the finely buttered and toasted, melted cheese oozing from the bread kind of toast. know what i mean?

laurens had curly brown hair and stunning hazel eyes.
he turned out to be content in nature, excitedly pointing out birds he saw and telling me facts about them. he wasn't in love with turtles. he was fond of birds and he wasn't cutesy. he had a brick shield to him that hid his personality. you had to dig into it one stone at a time.

aaron wasn't outspoken, but he knew when to speak and when not to.
he turned out to be very nice and understandable, actually acting as a decent conversationalist as the group lightheartedly debated.

lee was stunning in his own simple way. he had thick black hair swept over one eye and twinkling baby blue eyes that lit up when he was excited or happy.
he wasn't as big of a coward as some painted him to be, you think that spiders are terrifying? he does too. everyone does.

you got things like random pairs of pants and shirts for the boys and yourself that hercules would teach those who were out with you to fix to size.
you arrived home with a slightly sunburnt john and 2 pizzas. "hold on" you said, setting down the keys as the boys set down the pizza "why don't you all act like this in front of the others?"
"because" hercules went back to gruffness
"we did something once... or thrice" lee admitted
"and got stuck with it" john finished

"i'm stuck with 'big buff and tough'"
"i'm  stuck with 'cowardly retreating general'"
" 'cutesy turtle boy' "
"'opinionless murderer'"
" 'soft sick boy' "
they all stared at you silently

you sighed and went to unlock the room "all of you" you barked, scaring the men behind you "go fix what you ruined upon arrival using a spray bottle and rags. go. go. go!" you chanted "and alexander" you paused as he turned from marching downstairs with the others  "c'mere"
