"GET UP!!" I hear my mom yell from to Anthony. He mumbled under his breath, before making his way to the kitchen.

"Now you're gonna miss the bus!" Mom said frustrated.
"I'll take him." I say, mom looking up.
"You sure, I don't want you rushing." She  says. I nod. He walks into the kitchen.
  "Ready." He says. "Let's go."
"Did you brush your teeth and comb your hair?" I ask.
"Ill do it now." He says laughing.

When we get in the car, my phone rings.
" I forgot you have a doctor appointment, it's at 11:00."Mom says on the other end.
"I'll make it." I say hanging up.

I drop Anthony off and then head to my appointment. When I get there it's 10:55. I sign in. Not much later the nurse tells me it's my turn. I make my way to the office.

"Hey, how are you?" The doctor asks.
"Great, but I've been sick alot lately." I say
"Probably, a cold, I'll give you a check up." He says, first he takes my blood pressure, then my tempature. He leaves out. I sit there not really knowing what to do next.
"Can I get you to the brain scanner please?" He says.
  "Sure." I say confused.

I lay on the table, eyes blinded by the bright light above me, the tables moves making me jump.
"Stay tight." He says. I relax. Before I know it, we're finished. I get off the table, he reads the results, before frowning.
  "I'm so sorry." He says.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"It seems that you have Luekemia." He says sadly. My heart drops, my mind grows black, and I faint.

I wake up, surrounded by nurses and doctors. Dr. Harrison helps me up. My head aches.
"Are you okay?"  Dr. Harrison asks. I nod.
"You have Luekemia." Another doctor says.
"Oh yeah, will I be able to fight it?" I ask.
" You can try, but it's hard." says Dr. Harrison. "Here's a prescription, take one a day of these, and you should get better."
  "What if I don't?" I ask.
"Just hope that you do, ok?" He says.
  "Ok." I say.

When I get to my car, I call my mom.
   "Hello?" She says.
"Hey so, I have Luekemia, and I'm sick." I say, so casually, she pauses.
" Wait.. Luekemia?" She says, her voice cracking. "As in cancer?"
"It's ok." I say. "Don't start to cry."
"Honey, your father died from Luekemia." She says crying.
" I thought it was the flu!" I say.
"I'm sorry." She says. " I should of told you."
"I'm at the drugstore I'll call you back." I say hanging up. I go into the store and get the prescription, thinking of how strong my father was. How could I fight this, it's impossible??
