Sakura

I had wings behind me. Feathered wings. 

“Am I dead?” Haru asked me

I swayed my head, “No Haru. You’re alive.”

“Then -” I cut him off with a kiss.

I kissed Haru again and again. It got deeper and deeper. Each moment filled me up.

“ Don’t do anything stupid. Risking your life for me? Are you an idiot? I’m not a weakling!” I pinched Haru’s cheeks.

We laughed and talked. Talked about our future together. Talked about how we’re going to plan things out with my parents. I fell in love.

“Young ones.” We heard a familiar voice. Ren appeared out of nowhere, making Haru alert and hid me behind.  “It’s okay Haru, I won’t lay a hand on her anymore.” Ren assured him.

I looked at Haru and told him everything that Ren did. 

“Before I go, I just wanted to see you smile one last time. Haru! You must protect Sakura and keep her happy. Okay?” Ren opened his hand waiting for a shake.

Instead Haru hugged him, “I hate you. Even if we’re not related, we’re still brothers. I’m sorry I was a selfish younger brother…”

Ren soon went to a better place and we went back to the castle by walking straight into the stars.

“Haru, I’m glad that Ren went with a smile. Thank you Haru,” I leaned on him.

“Yeah… about that… C-can I ask you something?” He blushed and looked straight into my eyes.

“Will you marry me?” I asked, hugging her tighter.

Tears formed into her eyes, “I-I won’t mind if you reject but I’m serious.”

“Baka! Of course I’d marry you!” she stroked his hair and kissed me lightly.

We soon reached our destination where the king and queen had a priceless expression on their faces. Sakura’s wings were gone and we’re going to get married. Nothing can go wrong now.

“Father, mother! I’ll marry him,” Sakura declared.

On the other hand, my parents as well agreed that they’ll give in. 

One month before the wedding. One month.

We promised that we won't see each other until the wedding date. Until then, we must for fill our duties as Prince and Princess and get ready to create a new kingdom. A better kingdom for everyone.

Soon, magic entered our system and was taught to almost everyone. There were some who weren’t able to use magic, so we gave them training for self defence. 

I was one of them who can’t use magic but I don’t mind. I bed Sakura would be the one to say, “I’ll protect you instead.” but I can’t rely on her. As the duty of the king, I must at least know self defence. 

I learned out to handle swords and guns. I mastered kendo and karate.

My powers were back and I’ve mastered them in no time. Spring will soon arrive and so will our wedding. I was able to make new friends outside the castle and have rivalry. 

My life was so full of things I wanted to do and now I can do almost everything I want to! 

“Princess Sakura, we’ve found some rebellion plotting something,” a guard informed me. 

“What? What are the guards doing?” I asked.

“We’re trying the best we can to find their hide out but one after the other gets killed.” 

“What are we going to do, Sakura,” May, my pall, asked me.

I looked at her with concern, “I’ll do what I can. I have to head back to my house so please go ahead.”

“No! We’re coming with you.” May, Ai, Tomoe, and Meg said in sync.

I hesitated for a moment but answered them, “Get in!”
