Prologue

Prologue:

Haru

By the end of the song, I saw Sakura's tears. I was confused at first that she sang a heart breaking song but that wasn't for me. It was for someone else. Akiko. 

I went over there and hugged her tight. She trembled in my arms. 

"It's okay now, you can let it out," I caressed her cheeks. 

We headed back as Sakura's friends handled the rest. Music was finally coming back to life so we decided to move the marriage date a bit further for the sake of our country and music. 

The rebellions apologised and fixed everything they did wrong. 

This year's cherry blossoms bloom faster than the previous years. I wonder why?

I looked at Sakura who was resting on my shoulder and chuckled.

Time flew by and it's has been one year. I'm now 20 and Sakura is going to turn 20 tomorrow. I went out to buy her a gift. 

I went to a mall near by wondering what kind of grift would she love the most. 

I already bought the engagement ring but this was different. 

"Hm..."

"Sorry, did I wake you up?" I apologised.

"No. But I was just wondering what would it be like if Akiko was here... Would I be able to still meet you?" I got shocked at her question. "... Ignore that question," She added.

But I replied, "We would still meet, Sakura. I'll find you no matter what but thanks to Akiko-sama we can be like this." I stroked her soft brown hair.

She agreed and went back to sleep. I texted my friend to give me a perfect gift for Sakura. Something out of the ordinary.

Sakura

I woke up by the feeling of something on my face. A petal from a Sakura. 

How long did I sleep? I looked at the bright light thinking it was still early in the morning.

I stood up only to get hurt by the numbness of my body. I stretched out my body.

"ACHOO!" I heard Haru sneeze. 

I smiled and lent him my winter jacket. If I recall to day was my birthday!I stayed by Haru's side until he woke up and we went inside the castle to eat breakfast.

Gifts were delivered one by one from my friends and we had a party in my room. Of course, girls only! Though, I don't know what Haru was doing. 

"So, why do you like Haru?" May asked.

"Eh?" I blushed.

Everyone wanted to know. I changed the subject but it eventually came back.

"Well... It's not that interesting," I tried to convince them.

"Stop complaining and start the story!" They all said in sync.

"Well, it was because of music! That's all! Nothing more nothing less." I ended with that.

We talked, gossiped and ended the party with a cake. This was the best birthday I've ever had!

Next, Haru said he wanted to give me a gift even if I said no, he said he already ordered them. 

"What is it?" I curiously asked.

He blindfolded me and like a gentle man, placed my hand on his arm and escorted me. 

"H-Haru..." I spoke hesitantly.

"Yes?" I heard his soothing voice.

"D-Don't ever sacrifice yourself for me, okay?" My voice trembled a bit.

I felt a hand cup my cheeks and made my face turn towards the right. (Still blindfolded). Then in an instant, I felt something warm meeting my lips. It started melting my cold skin. 

He pulled back, "I won't because you're all I need."

I felt like my head was going to explode.

We took a few more steps before arriving to our destination. Haru took of my blind fold and right in front of me, I saw THEM.

Who is them? What? 

Edited? Yes.

New Ending? Yup.

Is this better than the other ending? Maybe, dunno.
